Build-A-Bear

As Hope was in recovery, a lot of the townspeople came by to give the Swan-Jones family meals, and toys to Hope, wanting to help the savior and her family any way they can. Emma and Killian both took care of Hope in the recovery of her croup, they would take turns sitting with Hope during her nebulizer treatment. They both kept with the medicine schedule, they wanted Hope's breathing to improve. They both took turns watching Hope sleep with them making sure she was breathing normally. Hope's family was always reassuring Hope that she was home and safe with them. When Emma was sleeping in their room, Killian was with Hope in the living room playing with her toys."Mommy..." Hope was crying.
"Hope, Mommy is sleeping in our room, little love. She is home, Mommy did not leave you. You are with Dada." Hope hugs her Daddy. "You are safe at home, Hope. No one is going to take you away again from your family."
"Tay..."
"I am not going anywhere, Hope. We are Daddy-daughter time." He kisses Hope on the head. They snuggled on the couch, "Once upon a time, there was a pirate...."
"Dada."
Killian smiles."Yes, Dada." He kisses Hope on the head. "Dada was steering the Jolly Roger in a storm with his crew...."
It was 6:30 in the morning, Killian went downstairs finding his two loves in the living room, Hope was fast asleep on Emma. "Emma, how is our little lass?"
"She just fell asleep. She did not give me too much trouble after I turned on the television and the machine on." Emma yawns.
"Love, let's go back to bed." He helps his two loves up and they go back to bed. She lets Hope snuggle on Killian. "You are with Dada, little love." Emma smiles as she cuddles with Killian as she falls asleep in Killian's arms as he holds their daughter. Killian watched his two loves sleeping. "You are safe with Dada and Mommy, little love." He kisses Hope on the head. "You give the best snuggles." Killian watched his two loves sleeping on him, which he absolutely love.
A few hours later, Henry was awake and went to check on his sister who was in their parents' room awake while their parents were fast asleep. "Morning, Hopey."
"Henwy."
"Are you trying to wake up Mommy and Daddy?" Hope babbles and coughs. "Let Mommy and Daddy sleep and we can play." Henry takes Hope from their parents' bed and takes her to his room. "Hopey, we are going to play in my room. We are going to have H&H time." He puts Hope on the bed and gets his book out.
Hope went off the bed and went to her parents' room. "Mommy..."
Emma wakes up seeing Hope at her bedside. "Hi, baby girl." She takes Hope from the floor and puts her on her lap.
Henry returns to their parents' room. "Hope, there you are."
"Little duckling, did you sneak away from Henry?" Hope babbles. "You did?"
"Mom,I was only taking Hope to my room, so you and Dad can sleep in longer. She got upset when I took her in my room. I told her we weren't going too far from you and Dad."
Hope hugs her Mommy. "I know you want to play with Hope, she is still extra clingy. We just need to continue to tell Hope that she is safe and we are not leaving her." Hope fusses. "Kid, are you hungry? I think Hope is hungry for breakfast?"
"I am hungry." Emma carries Hope downstairs. Henry plays with Hope in the living room. Ever since Hope was kidnapped Hope was extra clingy to her parents.
Hope runs to hug her Mommy's leg as Emma was cooking breakfast." She turned off the pan and kneels down to her daughter. "Hi, little duckling. Are you playing with Henry?" Hope babbles. "I was thinking, you and I can bake cookies later. Would you like that?"
"Ookie." Emma smiles and hugs her daughter.
Henry enters the kitchen. "Hope, Mommy is still cooking breakfast. Let's play."
"No."
"You want me to read to you?"
"Mommy b-b-"
"I am in for a long storytime. The Ugly Duckling story it is." Hope babbles happily making Henry and Emma both smile. Henry walks with Hope back to the living room. Emma continues cooking as Killian enters the kitchen. "Morning, love."
"Morning." They kiss.
"I see Henry got Hope to have some reading time."
"Well,Hope came in here wanting to be at my side. The only way to get her to have H&H time was Henry to read to her The Ugly Duckling..." She sighs. Killian hugs his wife. "I am worried about Hope's clinginess..."
"I am worried too, love. We just have to continue to show Hope that we are not leaving her."
"I am...I do not mind her clinginess at all. After her not breathing..." She begins to cry, Killian hugs her. "I love our baby girl, I love spending time with her."
"Aye, I know Hope loves spending time with her Mommy. Also, Hope loves spending time with her Daddy."
"She loves being with the both of us. I am just so grateful that we brought her in on time."
"Aye, we both got Hope the help she needs. She is getting better every day."
"That is because we are taking good care of her."
"Aye, that is why we are team captain swan. Love, do you need help with breakfast?"
"Yes, captain. You can make the pancakes while I make the scrambled eggs." He kisses her on the neck making her giggle. "Not that type of pancakes, captain. Maybe later." She gives him a flirty look. They kiss. Killian cooks the pancakes. "You have work today?"
"Aye, yes, I do, love. What are your plans with the kids?"
"I need to go to the party store today to buy decorations. Her birthday is in two weeks."
"Emma, I am going to help cook and decorate."
"The cake? I forgot to order the cake."
"How about I can go to the bakery..."
"Granny told me that she insisted on baking Hope's birthday cake."
"Aye, how about I go by Granny's to drop off our order for Hope's birthday cake. I also need to go to the party store after my shift to buy the decorations."
"Are you sure?"
"Aye, our little lass is still sick and I do not want Hope to get any sicker."
"Thank you. I do not want Hope to get sick..." Killian hugs his wife.
"She is getting better every day, love. What else is on your mind? You have that look, love."
"Allison and I planned our girls' day with Hope and Lizzie...taking them to Build-A-Bear store, the day before Hope's birthday."
"What is Build-A-Bear ?"
"I have never been to it but it is a store where kids can create their own bears."
"It sounds like fun."
"I am worried about Hope. How she will react when it's just me traveling with her not you...I am afraid she will cry the whole time..."
"Emma, she cries when I leave?"
"Yes, more than usual ever since..." Killian holds her hand knowing his wife's hand.
"I will make sure that Hope will know that I will be home when you two return from your girls' trip." She kisses him on the cheek. Hope runs into the kitchen hugging her Daddy's leg. "Good morning, little love." He holds Hope on his hip. "Did Henry read you a story?"
"Henwy."
Henry enters the kitchen. "Hope and I are getting hungry."
"Aye, breakfast is ready." Killian puts Hope in her high chair, the family ate their meal together. After they ate, Killian played with Hope in the living room as Emma and Henry cleaned up the kitchen. Emma joins them in the living room, Killian was playing with Hope and her toys. "Little love, Dada has to go to work."
"No." Hope hugs her Daddy began to cry. "Tay."
"I want to stay but I have to go to work. You are going to be here with Mommy. I know you are going to have fun baking cookies with Mommy. When I get home from work, we will have Daddy and Hopey time."
"Dada."
He kisses Hope on the head. "You are not in any danger at home, Hope. You will be safe here with Mommy."
"Luv, Dada."
"I love you, Hope." He hugs his little lass. Emma loves how much Killian is a great Daddy to their daughter. "We will have our pirate talk later." Hope babbles. Emma takes Hope from Killian. "Emma, I have your list and the cake order."
"Thank you. Have a good day at work." They kiss. Killian leaves as Hope cries into her Mommy. "Hopey, Dada will be back." She took Hope up to her room and rocked Hope in the rocking chair. "I know you like Dada home with us but we are going to have fun today." Hope cried more. Emma had an idea, she packs the diaper bag and changed Hope into an outfit. She carries Hope to Henry's room. "Henry, how is your classwork going?"
"I am good for now. I need your help in Science later."
"I will help you later. I am going to take Hope out."
"To calm her down?"
"Exactly. I know you need to concentrate on your work. Hope and I will be back."
"See you later Mom." He goes to his Mom and sister. "Little sis, I need your help with my art project. Will you help me?"
"Henwy."
"You are okay, baby sis. We will play art later."
Emma carries Hope to their special spot by the docks. "Ooo."
"Yes, Hope, ocean. We are the ocean." She sits down and lets Hope walk around. She takes a picture of Hope looking at the ocean and texts it to Killian who quickly responds back. "Let me guess, Hope needed to calm down?"
"Yes, I figured our little pirate needed to be the ocean just like her Daddy."
Killian smiles. "Aye,she takes after her Daddy."
"Just like you. xoxo."
"Ooo." Hope hugs her Mommy.
Emma smiles. "You are just like your Dada you love the ocean. The ocean calms me down too." She hugs her daughter.
"Luv, Mommy."
"I love you so much, Hopey. You are always going to be my baby girl." She takes a mother and daughter selfie on her iPhone and sent it to Killian. After an hour at the docks, Emma carried Hope back home.
"Ooo."
"We are going home to bake cookies."
"Ookies."
"You can be my little baker." Hope babbles. Emma prepared the ingredients to make chocolate cookies from scratch. She let Hope sit in her high chair and lets her mix the dry ingredients as she mixed ingredients. "You are a great mixer, baby girl." Hope smiles. She lets Hope put the chocolate chips into the bowl. Emma pours the dry ingredients into the other bowl and mixes the rest and puts it in a pan. Hope babbles. "You can help me with the numbers." She put the pan in the oven and held Hope and helped her press the screen of the oven with numbers for the timer. "Good job, Hope." The doorbell rings. "Let's go see who is at the door." Emma answers the door, it was Violet. "Hi, Violet."
"Hi, Emma. Hi, Hope. I brought over some lasagna from granny's. I heard what happened to Hope and I feel awful. I wanted to come visit."
"Thank you, Violet. Come in."
"I can stay for a little while."
"Hope, Violet is here to see you." Hope babbles. "Henry! Violet is here." Henry comes down.
"Hi, Violet."
"Hi, Henry."
"Henwy." Henry takes Hope from their Mom.
"Mom, Hope is going to stay with me and Violet."
"Henry, remember our rule?"
"Yes, Mom." They go upstairs as Emma cleans the kitchen. When Hope needed her nebulizer treatment, Emma set up the nebulizer before getting her daughter from her son's room. She goes upstairs hearing Henry and Violet talking in his room. She finds Hope on Henry's lap as Violet talking to her. Emma takes a picture of the three of them. "How is it going in here?"
"Good, Mom." Hope goes to her Mommy and hugs her legs.
"Emma, Hope is cute and fun. She is so much like Henry."
"Yes, Henry and Hope are very similar." She puts Hope on her hip. "Hope it is time for your medicine."
"No." Hope wanted to stay and struggled out of her Mommy's arms.
"Yes, you need your medicine. You can talk to Henry and Violet later."
"Mom, I will turn on the television."
"Thanks, Kid. Henry will be right back." They go downstairs, Henry turns on the television to Disney Junior for Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. Emma gets the mask on Hope who took her medicine. "Thanks, Henry."
"You are welcome, Mom. I will keep the door open." The timer went off. "I will put the cookies out of the oven."
"Thank you, Henry." Henry takes the cookies out of the oven and brought up some for himself and Violet. "Hope, our cookies are done." Hope clapped her hands. "Yes, we get to eat cookies after your medicine." Hope tried to move. "Not yet, sweetie. After you finish your medicine you can have a cookie."
"Ookie."
Emma smiles. "You are being a sneaky pirate." She kisses Hope on the head. After Hope was finished, she went to the kitchen to find the cookies. Emma chuckles and gets the equipment and follows Hope.
"Mommy."
"I am coming,Hope." She puts the equipment on the counter, as Hope was looking for the pan of cookies. Emma holds Hope. "Hope, where are the cookies?" Hope points at the counter.
"Ookie."
"There it is." She gives Hope two cookies and eats them. "Yummy?" Hope smiles again.
Violet and Henry enter the kitchen. "Emma, I have to leave, my father wants me home. I really hope you enjoy the lasagna I brought over."
"Thank you, Violet. You saved me well, Killian from cooking dinner tonight."
'You are welcome. I just wanted to visit and help as much as I can. After all, Hope did help save me." Hope babbled and reached for Violet.
Violet holds Hope. "You take after your Mom, Dad, and Henry, a hero. Emma, she takes after you."
"Yes, she does." Hope reaches out for her Mommy, Emma holds her daughter. "She takes after all of us." Hope hugs her Mommy.
"Henry, I will come over again. You can show me videogames."
"Awesome." Hope babbles. "Yes. Hope, you can join us." Hope smiles.
"Hope, I will come over to play with you and Henry soon. Bye, Emma."
"Bye, Violet."
"I will walk you to the door." Henry walks to Violet.
"Hope, do you think Henry likes Violet?" Hope babbles. "I think so too."
"Mom?"
"Yes?"
"She came over to check on Hope. She also apologized for not sticking up for me at school. She did not know why, though."
"Not a lot of people have the courage to speak up."
"I have you, Dad and my other Mom to stick up for me." Henry hugs his Mom and sister.
"That is right, Henry." She kisses him on the head.
Killian arrived home later, Emma and Hope were sleeping in their bedroom. He sees Henry. "Hi, lad."
"Dad!" Henry hugs his Dad. "I have a question?"
"What is it, son?"
"I want Hope to have a special birthday. I have an idea of how to make her birthday party special?"
"I am interested..." Henry closes his door and shows his Dad his idea on his laptop. "Hope is going to love it."
As Hope's birthday got closer, Emma and Killian prepared for Hope's birthday by baking cupcakes, preparing the food and wrapping gifts for Hope while she played with Henry. It was the day before Hope's birthday April, 19,2020, Emma got up early to watch Hope sleeping on her, "One more day with my one-year-old baby girl." She kisses Hope on the head. "We are going to have a fun girls day today."
Killian wakes up seeing his swan awake. "Morning, love."
"Morning, honey." They kiss. "Are you looking forward to your girls' day with Allison, Lizzie, and our little lass?"
Emma smiles. "Yes, I am looking forward to it. It will be a new experience for Hope and me."
"I know you two will have fun today. Meanwhile, Henry and I will start cooking for our little almost-two-year-old pirate princess." Killian kisses Hope on the head.
Emma smiles. "Even though she will be two years old tomorrow, she will always be my baby girl."
"Aye, Hope will always be my little pirate."
"I was thinking..."
"Swan?"
"Before Hope's birthday party, we can go to Jolly Roger. We have not been on the Jolly Roger in a while, now that Hope is not sick anymore... I know Hope will love to spend part of her special day on our second home."
Killian smiles. "Aye, our little lass is part pirate after all." Hope wakes up.
"Good morning, Hopey." Hope smiles.
"Morning, little lass."
"Dada." He takes Hope from his swan. "Wawa..."
"You want to go on the Jolly Roger? We are going tomorrow before your birthday party. You can help me check on the Jolly Roger." Hope babbles. "Aye, you are my little pirate after all." He hugs his little lass, which Emma loves seeing.
She kisses Killian on his scruffy cheek. "My two pirates." Hope babbles. "Yes, Hopey, I am talking about you and Dada." Hope wanted to nurse. "I know, sweetie you are hungry." She takes Hope from her husband and nurses Hope. "You will always be my baby." She kisses Hope on the head. Killian and Hope were in the kitchen as Emma got dressed for the day, gray tee-shirt, jeans and her hair in a dutch braid and packed the diaper bag. She joined Hope and Killian for breakfast. "Mommy."
"Hope, did dada make you eggs and pancakes?" Hope smiles. "Yes." She gave Hope kisses on her cheek.
Henry joins his family in the kitchen. "Hi, baby sis."
"Henwy."
"Are you excited for Build-A-Bear today?" Hope babbles.
"Kid, she does not know what Build-A-Bear is, but she will know what when we get there." As they ate, Henry made funny faces to his sister making her laugh and tickling her.
"Lad, less tickling Hope, she needs to eat."
"Hope, we are going to play after breakfast."
"What time is Allison picking you and Hope?"
"Allison is picking us up at 10:00 o'clock. The Build-A-Bear store is not too far of a car ride, it is a two-hour drive from here." After Hope ate, Emma got her dressed for their outing. She dressed Hope in an Ariel shirt, jeans and pink converse sneakers, with her red jacket. Hope tugs Emma's braid which made her Mommy smile. "You want me to braid your hair?" Hope smiles. " We both will have braids today." She gave Hope two small dutch braids. Hope clapped her hands. Emma smiles. "You are so cute in your outfit and braids!" She kisses Hope on the head. "My little duckling." Hope smiles as Emma take a picture of her daughter and hold her daughter on her hip."We are going to have a fun day with Auntie Allison and Lizzie." She brings Hope to the living room, to the boys who were playing video games. Killian sees his two loves in their matching red jackets. "I love when my two loves are wearing their matching red jackets." Emma smiles. "You look amazing swan."
"Thank you." They kiss. Emma lets Hope play with Henry before they get picked up by Allison.
"Are you sure you can cook?"
"Emma, I have the list for the party food. It is my day off, love. I can cook for our daughter's birthday party. You baked enough cupcakes for the party already, it is my turn to cook. You and Hope are going to have a fun girls' day out of Storybrooke."
"I do need a break. I was thinking we all need a break from Maine, together..."
"You mean a Swan-Jones family vacation?"
"Yes, maybe renting a beach house in Florida?"
"Aye, we need a beach vacation."
"I was thinking, we can sail...like we did on our honeymoon."
"You mean sailing around the world or realms?"
"Not realms..."
"Love, what are you thinking?"
"I just want a vacation with our kids, where we can go wherever we want and not worry about my mom or fighting a villain."
Killian holds his wife's hands. "We can plan a family vacation together." Emma hugs her husband. "We all need a vacation from Storybrooke, swan." They hear a car honk.
"Allison is here."
"Love, you have everything?"
"Yes, all packed in the diaper bag. I am going to take pictures of Hope making her first Build-A-Bear."
"Aye, I cannot wait to see the pictures. I will put the car seat in Allison's car."
"Thank you." Killian goes out of the house. "Hopey, Auntie Allison is here."
"Mom, I will walk with you." He walks with his sister to the car. Killian and Allison were talking as he was putting the carseat in the car. "Hi, Aunt Allison."
"Hi, Henry. Hi, Hope."
"Auntie." Hope hugs Allison.
"Hi, little niece. Are you looking forward to Build-A-Bear?" Hope babbles. "Lizzie will show you how to make a bear when we get there."
"Allison."
"Emma." They hug. "Are you excited for our girls' day?"
"Yes, I am. I know Hope is going to have fun."
"They will both have fun. Lizzie is so excited."
"Swan, Hope's car seat is in the car."
"Thank you."
"Dada." Killian holds his little lass.
"Little love, you are going to make a teddy bear today. You are going to have so much fun with Lizzie, Mommy, and Auntie Allison. When you get home from Build-A-Bear, we will have our pirate talk." He puts Hope in her car seat.
"Hi, Killy."
"Hi, Lizzie. Are you going to show Hope how to make a teddy bear?"
"Yes, I am. It will be so much fun."
"Aye, I know you will all have fun." He buckles Hope in. "Dada will see you later, with Mommy."
Emma sat in the front. "Killian, Hope will be with us."
"Aye, I know. " He kisses Hope on the head. Emma puts down the window. "Love, have fun."
"Thank you we will see you in the evening." They kiss. Allison drove off, with Killian watching their car go.
Hope was crying. "Dada..."
"Hope, don't cry."
"Hope, we are going to go back with Dada later." When they went over the town line, Hope screamed and moved her arms and legs. "Oh, Hope. I knew this was going to happen. Allison, pull over." Allison stopped the car and Emma sits next to her daughter. "Hopey, everything is okay. Dada is at home. We are going to Build-A-Bear. We will be back home with Dada and Henry soon. You are with me." Hope holds her Mommy's hand and stops crying. Allison and Emma smiled at each other," Allison, I will stay in the back with these two girlies." Allison drove her car.
Back at home, Killian went inside and began cooking for Hope's birthday party. Henry enters the kitchen seeing his Dad cooking ziti. "Dad, can I help you cook?"
"Sure, lad."
Henry helped to boil the pasta and they played video games while they were waiting for the ziti to cook. "I cannot believe that Hope is turning two tomorrow, Dad."
"Aye, Hope is getting bigger every single day. She proves to us every day that she is a fighter."
"Yes, for a one-year-old, Hope has been through so much. I want Hope to have the best birthday. I mean we almost..." Henry began to cry.
Killian hugs his son knowing he was taking it hard seeing his sister almost dying in their mother's arms. "Henry, you, your Mom and I are going to give Hope the best birthday ever. With your surprise fro Hope's birthday tomorrow, she is going to love it." Henry cries more. "Hope has all of us who love her and care for her and will always protect her when she needs to be protected. She has you as her older brother to love her and protect her from villains."
"I am not a hero, Dad."
"Of course you are."
"No, every time I try to protect Hope, I fail."
"Henry, you are a hero. You defeated curses and saved our family, Henry from villains."
"Being a hero to Hope is different Dad, I am her big brother, it is my job to protect her. Every time, I do, I fail."
"When Leo is scaring your sister, she never got hurt when she is held by you." Henry was still crying. "I know we need to have a sword lessons so you can improve your skills."
"Can we have a lesson today?"
"Yes, lad. After we cook for your sister's birthday party." The continued to cook.
Back in Allison's car. "Auntie Emma, do you know at Build-A-Bear you can pick more than just teddy bears?"
"Oh really?"
"There are unicorns, cats, dogs, bunnies, Disney characters, The Trolls..."
"Like the movie?"
"Yes! There are also bunnies, Sven and Olaf."
"Olaf will not be a good choice for Hope."
"Bad."
"No, he is not bad, Hope, he is funny."
"Lizzie, you seem to know everything about Build-A-Bear."
"Yes, Mommy took me before we moved here."
"You can teach Hope and I. This will be our first time at Build-A-Bear ."
"Auntie Emma, you never been to Build-A-Bear?!"
"Yes, I have never been there."
"Wow! Mommy, can I get a house for my Build-A-Bear dolls?"
"No, Lizzie. You have a dollhouse already."
"Mommy..."
"Lizzie, you are making Build-A-Bear with clothes and shoes."
"Yes, Mommy but I get to help Hope and Auntie Emma." Hope babbles. "Hope, are you excited to make your own bear?" Hope smiles. "She is excited, Auntie Emma."
"Yes, she is very excited. Right, Hopey?" She tickles Hope, making her laugh.
"Emma, I love Hope's braids."
"Thank you. I love doing Hope's hair. She saw my braid and she tugged my hair to let me do hers." Lizzie watches videos on her iPad with headphones while Hope was babbling away.
"Allison, I am sorry about Hope's crying before. She hates being separated from Killian or me. She feels safe with both of us."
"From what Hope went through recently, you and Killian rescued her, she knows that she is safe with you both. We are almost there. I just need to find a parking spot. "
"I really am excited. I was thinking after Build-A-Bear we can get lunch."
"Yes, I know they will be very hungry after Build-A-Bear."
Allison found a parking spot, as Emma got Hope out of her carseat. "Hope we are at Build-A-Bear." Hope babbles and grabs her Mommy's hand. "You can walk me."
"Hope, the bears in front of the store that it is Build-A-Bear. We are at Build-A-Bear. Auntie Emma, can I walk with you and Hope?"
"Of course, you can." They entered the Build-A-Bear filled with different types of stuffed animals. Disney characters and bears with other children and parents around the whole store. "Whoa."
"Yes, Emma. This is Build-A-Bear ." Hope began to cry. Allison holds Hope. "Little neice, you are going to make your own bear today. You can choose the bear, stuff it, wash it and choose an outfit." Hope hugs her aunt. "You are going to have fun today." Hope smiles. She kisses Hope on the head.
"Mommy." Allison gave Hope to Emma.
"Hopey, this place is new. It is alright. We are on the same ship, duckling. We are going to make a teddy bear together." Hope hugs her Mommy.
Lizzie tugs her Mommy's shirt. "Mommy, I know what I want. You can help Hope and Auntie Emma."
"Lizzie, you can tell us what we need to do."
"Okay! First, you need to choose a bear and then stuff it in a machine." Lizzie chose a unicorn. She shows Hope the flat doll. "Hope, it is supposed to be flat. We are going to stuff it in a machine."
Emma walked around with Hope holding Hope on her hip, Allison took pictures of Emma and Hope. "Hope, which one do you want to make? A teddy bear? A unicorn? A bunny?" Hope babbles and reaches out for the bunny rabbit. "You want a bunny?" You can make a bunny." She lets Hope choose the light brown bunny out of the bin. "That is a good choice." Hope babbles happily. "Yes, now we are going to stuff your bunny." She brings Hope to the stuffing station to Allison and Lizzie.
"Auntie."
"Hope, did you choose a bunny rabbit to make as a friend?" Hope babbles.
Lizzie approaches Hope."Hope, you need to stuff your bunny." Emma lets Hope go with Lizzie and a worker helped stuff Hope's bunny, Emma took pictures of Hope and Lizzie stuffing their animal friends. Lizzie leads Hope to clean her bunny. She gave Hope a brush. "Brush your bunny, Hope." Hope did not listen to Lizzie. Emma kneels down to Hope. "Hope, you can brush the bunny." She teaches Hope to brush her bunny. "There you go, brush your bunny's ears." Hope brushes her bunny's ears.
"Hope, we can choose our animal clothes."
"Hope, your bunny can get an outfit." Hope reaches for her Mommy. She holds Hope on her hip and the bunny.
"Lizzie, only an outfit."
Emma sees the accessories, toys, clothes, strollers, houses, headbands, hats, backpacks. "Whoa...all of these for stuffed animals Allison?"
"Yes, that is why I tell Lizzie only the stuffed animal and clothes." Emma giggles. Hope babbles.
"Hope, are you excited to pick an outfit for your bunny rabbit little niece?" Hope babbles. She kisses Hope on the cheek.
"You are having fun right Hope? Auntie Allison chose a great birthday idea for you." Hope babbles.
Allison tickles Hope. "I had a feeling Hope will have fun, after all, it is her birthday trip." Hope babbles. "Emma, I think Hope wants to pick her bunny rabbit outfit."
"Hopey, there are so many outfits for you to choose from for your bunny rabbit." Emma let Hope walk around the outfits area following her daughter. Both Lizzie and Hope were playing with baby strollers, houses, and other accessories at their reach. "Hope is following her playing with the toys."
"Definitely."
"I can see why you told Lizzie only to get the animal friend. There are so many accessories and toys for these animal dolls."
"Yes, it is hard to get Lizzie or any child out to this store with only the stuff animal which costs a lot."
"Mommy.." Hope took out a duck outfit.
Emma goes to her daughter "Hope, you found a duckling outfit! You want that outfit for your bunny rabbit?" Hope walked around to look at more outfits, there were a lot of Disney characters outfits, Frozen, Aladdin, Toy Story, Disney princess costumes. Hope found a pirate outfit. "Wawa!" Emma goes to her daughter and sees the pirate costume. "Hope you found a pirate costume!!" Hope babbles with joy. "You want your bunny rabbit to be a pirate costume?"
Hope gives her Mommy the costume. Emma chuckles, her daughter takes after her Daddy's pirate side. "You can dress up your bunny rabbit as a pirate." Hope hugs her Mommy which made Emma smile, she loves seeing her daughter happy. She carries Hope to Allison and Lizzie who was dressing up her pink unicorn in a rainbow dress that matched the unicorn tail and hooves. "Hope, what did you choose for your bunny rabbit?" Lizzie sees the pirate costume. "Nice choice, Hope."
"Mommy."
"Hope, I will help you dress your bunny rabbit." Emma helps Hope dress the animal friend into its pirate costume and gives it to her daughter when it was dressed with a pirate shirt, pants, hat and the hook on the bunny's paw. Hope hugs her bunny rabbit. Emma takes a picture of Hope and her new bunny rabbit pirate on her iPhone. Allison and Emma took pictures of their daughters holding their new animal friends on their iPhones. Allison takes a picture of Emma and Hope, Emma takes a picture of Allison and Lizzie and one with Allison and Hope. Hope began to cry. Emma holds Hope. "Hopey, you need a diaper change."
"Auntie Emma, I will watch Hope's bunny."
"Thank you, Lizzie." Emma changes Hope's diaper. "Are you having fun on our girls day."
"Mommy." Hope hugs her Mommy.
"We can have a Mommy and Hopey day soon." They return to Allison and Lizzie. Allison gives Hope back her bunny. "Hope, your bunny is a cute bunny pirate." Hope chews on her new toy.
"Auntie Emma, Hope, we have to name our new animal friends."
"Lizzie, you can show Hope and I what to do." Lizzie types her unicorn's name on the laptop,Rainbow.
"Your turn Hope."
Emma kneels down to Lizzie and Hope."Hope, what name do you want to choose for your bunny rabbit?"
"Wawa."
"Jolly Roger?" Hope screams. Emma chuckles, her daughter definitely takes after her Daddy. "Jolly Roger the bunny it is." Lizzie types Hope's bunny friend's name on the computer.
Hope shows her Mommy the hook. "Dada."
Emma laughs. "Your Dada is going to love Jolly Roger the bunny rabbit." Hope began to cry. "Hopey, are you hungry?" Emma holds Hope.
"Emma, they are finished making their animal friends. We can pay for their animal friends and go get lunch."
"Great idea." Emma comforts Hope who was crying so loud. "I know sweetie, we are going to eat soon." As they were waiting in line, Hope was still crying, "Allison, I am going to nurse her." Emma steps out of the line and finds a spot to nurse Hope and covers her. Hope stops crying when she latched on right away. "Hopey." She kisses her on the head enjoying her special tie with her daughter before she turns two the next day. Hope was full, Emma burps her."You were very hungry." Hope babbles. Allison comes with both two animal friends in boxes shaped like houses. "Allison? You paid for me?"
"Emma, this is my birthday gift for Hope. Well, one of my birthday gifts for Hope." Emma was in awe. Allison kneels to Hope. "Hope, this is a birthday gift from me." Hope smiles.
"Hope, say thank you to Auntie Allison for your day early birthday gift."
Hope hugs Allison."You...Auntie."
"You are very welcome, Hopey. I love you so much."
"Luv, auntie." Emma took a picture of Hope hugging Allison.
"I love you so much, Hopey." She kisses Hope on the head.
They went to a Chinese restaurant nearby town to get lunch While they were waiting for their meals, Lizzie and Hope were playing with each other and their new animal friends. Lizzie was tickling Hope who was sitting in a high chair. Their meals came, Allison ordered general sauce chicken with broccoli and rice. Lizzie ordered lo mein and dumplings. "Hopey, you need to put Jolly Roger in its box for a nap while you eat." Emma puts the bunny doll in its temporary home. Hope begins to cry. "Hope, it will be next to me. You want to keep Jolly Roger clean right?"
"Auntie Emma, Jolly Roger can sit next to Rainbow. They can share a chair, next to Hope and me."
Emma smiles. "That is a good idea, Lizzie." Lizzie puts Jolly Roger next to Rainbow in a chair. Emma made a small version of her plate for Hope cut up beef and broccoli and white rice. She spoon-feeds her meal."You like Chinese food?" Hope babbles. "It is very yummy. We can order Chinese food more often." After they had lunch, they went back to Allison's car. Hope was crying. "Hopey, I know you skipped your nap today. You can nap in the car by the time you wake up we will be home."
"Hope skipped her nap today?"
"Yes, she did. Hope was having so much fun making her bunny, she did not nap. Now she is very cranky."
"Little niece, you are very cranky but I still love you." She gave Hope kisses on her cheek. Emma bounces Hope up and down until Hope stops crying and buckles Hope into her car seat and lay her quilt on top of her. Emma sat in the back with the girls as Allison drove them back to Storybrooke. "Auntie Emma?"
"Yes, Lizzie?"
"My Mommy told me that you and Hope have light magic."
"Emma, you do not have to answer that question, now."
"I can tell her." She faces Lizzie. "To answer your question, Lizzie, Yes, Hope and I do have light magic."
"Whoa...can you show me?"
Emma smiles. "Not outside of Storybrooke, only you, your Mom, your Dad and Connor, are the only outsiders who live in Storybrooke that do not have magic. Other people think magic is not true. I only use my magic when I need to use it, like when I am fighting a villain."
"Why doesn't Henry have light magic?"
"That is a good question, Lizzie. Do you know what true love is?"
"Is it when you love someone the most?"
"Yes, true love is magic, when you are married or dating the right man. My parents are true love. When they were having me, there was a curse coming to the Enchanted Forest, called the dark curse. Rumplestilskin told my parents that I was going to be the savior and I had light magic since I am the product of true love. Killian and I are true love, so Hope is a product of both two love parents which is why Hope has light magic. But Henry...his Dad was my first boyfriend. I did not have love in my life. I thought he loved me but he left me."
"Mommy told me that you were in the foster system."
"Yes, my parents chose me to escape the curse by putting me in a magic tree wardrobe so I wouldn't be stuck in the curse. I was in the foster system, I had bad families. I was taken out of a lot of homes and put in group homes. I ran away from the foster system since I could not take the mean foster parents. I became homeless."
"You lived on the streets?"
"Yes, I did, it was really scary. I met Henry's biological Dad. He left me and never came back for me. He framed me for his crime, I had to go to prison for his crime, I was seventeen years old."
"You did nothing wrong. He did."
"I know, Lizzie. He used me for his crime. He broke my heart, I could not let him in again. I knew he was not my true love."
"Henry does not have light magic because he is not the product of true love?"
"Yes."
"Killy is his Daddy?"
Emma smiles. "Yes, he treats Henry as his own son as if Henry is his biological son. Henry barely knew his biological Dad."
"Killian is his Daddy and Hope's Daddy."
Emma smiles."Yes, Lizzie, he is." Lizzie falls asleep.
"Emma, are you okay?"
"Yes, I am."
"I know you by now, you are sensitive about your past."
"I am alright, it is getting easier to talk about it...I mean about Henry's Dad...that still hurts. I think about that I am not alone, I have Henry, Killian, and Hope in my life." Emma rubs Hope's hand.
"Emma, Hope is going to need you even though she is turning two tomorrow."
"I know. From what happened a few weeks ago, I just know my daughter will always need me."
"You are taking such good care of her, Emma." Allison got nauseous.
"Allison?" Allison pulls over and pukes on the side of the road. Emma got out of the car and rubbed Allison's back. She gave Allison a water bottle.
"Thank you."
"Are you okay?"
"I just got nauseous."
"Do you want me to drive the rest of the way home?"
"Yea..."
Emma holds Allison's hand. "I know I am not a doctor but could you possibly be..."
"Pregnant? Yea, I do not think so...I still have my period. I just think that I have food poisoning or I am tired of working a lot."
"How about I drive us home the rest of the way while you can get rest." Emma got into the driver seat, Allison got into the passenger seat. She magically poofs up a barf bag. "Just in case you need it."
"Thank you, Emma."
"Get some rest, this traffic is going to keep us from moving for a while." Emma drove the rest of the way home, there was some traffic. Allison was sleeping during traffic. She looks back at the girls who were still fast asleep. Allison wakes up a little later. "How are you feeling Allison?"
"Less nauseous and tired. I know this has been a crazy year for you, Hope and rest of the family."
"Yes, from Killian and me being separated in another realm from Killian and I, to her having surgeries, family feud with my Mom, the car accident...two miscarriages...and Hope being kidnapped twice...I just want my family to be happy."
"They are happy, Emma. Not every family is perfect, every family has their issues."
"I am still learning what families are, I experienced so many terrible foster families, abuse, alcohol, and drugs...I thought when I found my parents it will be normal...magic, being the savior..." She sighs. "When I met Killian, he changed my life for the better. He proved to me that he is not going to leave me and always be on my side no matter what. We fell in love and we always found each other from curses and rescuing each other. We both wanted the same dream, a normal life raising a family. I did not expect to have a family feud or having my own mother kidnapping Hope."
"You and Killian found Hope together. You two got Hope to the hospital on time-saving her life. You two are amazing parents to Hope and Henry. Every family is not perfect, you take care of your children, giving them a life you wanted, and it shows every single day. Henry and Hope love you and Killian, Emma. they are very happy in the life you and Killian giving to them every day."
Hope woke up from her nap. "Mommy."
"Mommy is driving Auntie's car sweetie." Allion turns around to face her niece.
"Hopey, did you have fun making Jolly Roger?" Hope babbles. Allison gives Hope her new bunny rabbit friend.
"Allison, she loves her new bunny-rabbit."
"I had a feeling that my little niece will love Build-A-Bear. Hopey, you want to go back to Build-A-Bear?" Hope babbles and hugs Jolly Roger. Emma drives over the town line and drove to her house, seeing Killian and Henry having a sword-fighting lesson. "Ome?"
"Yes, Hope we are home."
"Emma, I am feeling better, I can drive myself and Lizzie home."
"Are you sure?"
"Yes, Emma." They hugged.
"I had so much fun today. This is one of the best girls day ever."
"Yes! We need to do this again!"
"Yes, shopping?"
"Yes!" They both laughed. Henry returns the swords back inside as Killian approaches the car.
Killian sees his wife. "Hi, Swan."
"Hi, honey." They kiss.
"How was your day?"
"It was really fun. Hope missed you when we were gone. I know Hope wants to see her Dada."
"Aye, I will get her out of her carseat.
Hope sees her daddy kicking her legs. "Dada! Dada!!"
"Hi, little love." Killian takes Hope out of her car seat. Hope shows her pirate bunny rabbit doll. "Hope, you made a pirate bunny rabbit!!" Hope screams with joy.
"Hopey, tell Dada your bunny rabbit's name..."
"Wawa."
Killian smiles. "Jolly Roger the bunny rabbit?" Hope screams. Emma takes out the car seat.
"Emma, what time should I come over tomorrow to help set up?"
"The party is a 2:00 o'clock, you can come over at 12:30 pm."
"I will be there. I am off tomorrow." They hug.
"Auntie."
"Hopey." She holds Hope. "I had so much fun today with you and your Mommy, little niece." Hope hugs Allison. "I will see you tomorrow, and you will two years old tomorrow." Hope babbles. "Yes, you are getting so big, little neice." She kisses Hope on the head. "We can play before your birthday party tomorrow."
"Tay."
"I will see you tomorrow, sweetie."
Killian takes Hope from Allison, Emma hugs Allison. "We will have our girl talk tomorrow."
"Yes, as we are decorating tomorrow."
"I will see you tomorrow." Allison gets back into her car and drives Lizzie home.
"Little love, Henry wants to play with you."
"Henwy."
"Aye, you can show him Jolly Roger bunny." They enter inside, Henry approaches his sister.
"Hopey!"
"Henwy." Henry gets his sister from their Dad.
"I missed you all day. Did you have fun at Build-A-Bear?"
Hope shows Henry her pirate bunny. "Wawa."
"Jolly Roger?"
"Kid, the bunny rabbit's name is Jolly Roger."
Henry smiles. "No way. Dad, Hope definitely takes after you."
"She sure does, lad. My little pirate." He kisses Hope on the cheek.
"H!"
Henry smiles. "Hopey, we do need H&H time. I missed you all day." Henry takes Hope upstairs to his room.
"Swan, Jolly Roger the rabbit?"
Emma chuckles. "Killian, there were so many costumes, she found the costume all by herself and screamed Wawa. It was so cute. I knew Hope wanted a pirate bunny just like her Daddy."
"Aye, Hope loves her pirate side."
"Yes, captain, she takes after her Daddy after all." Emma and Killian sat on the couch and snuggled.
"Henry and I cooked for Hope's birthday party, swan. How was Build-A-Bear?"
Emma smiles. "It is a very cute place. I will show you. I was able to take videos of Hope." She showed him videos of Hope walking around Build-A-Bear, to stuffing her bunny rabbit. She always showed him the pictures that Allison texted her of her and Hope and photos of she took of Hope choosing the pirate costume.
Killian smiles."Emma, my two loves looked like they had a perfect day."
Emma smiles. "It was perfect."
"Hope had a fun day with her Mommy."
"We had a normal day, going out of Storybrooke, made a stuffed animal, no fighting villains or my Mom...I saw Hope being happy as she should be all the time. Not being afraid of villains, having surgeries, using her light magic to being kidnapped...I want Hope to have a normal life."
"We are giving a normal life swan, she is happy, love, cared for and she always has us to protect her and rescue her if needed. She has a normal life, Emma, even though it is not perfect. She has us as her parents who love her so much and will always fight for her."
"I just want Hope to be happy."
"She is happy, Emma. She loves her Mommy, Daddy, Henry, Allison, so many people who love her. With us being her parents, she will always have us, swan. Our little lass is going to be two years old tomorrow but she will always need us no matter how old she gets." Emma kisses him on his scruffy cheek, he always knows what to say to her and knows how to cheer her up.
Henry carried Hope downstairs who was crying. "Mom, Hope wants you." Emma takes Hope from Henry.
"Mommy."
"I am right here. I did not leave you. Your whole family is here with you." Hope hugs her Mommy. "I know you are afraid but you are home safe with us. No scary witch is going to take you away from us ever again."
"Bad."
"Yes, witches are very bad."
"Little love, you have your family who would protect you from danger. I taught Henry how to sword fight more. We do not want to lose our little lass ever again by a bad witch."
Hope holds her Daddy's hook in one hand while clinging on to her Mommy. "You are staying at home with us, baby girl. Tomorrow, you are going to be two years old. I know you will have so much fun tomorrow at your birthday party."
"Little love, Melody and Gideon are coming to your birthday party to play with you."
Henry brings down his storybook. "Hope, you want a story?"
"Henwy." Henry sits next to his parents and baby sister on the couch and reads stories to her. Emma and Killian both know it was going to be a very special day tomorrow for their little girl even with her clinginess. They will continue to reassure their daughter that she is safe with them and not going to leave her.
