Part 70 - Female Reader x SCP-323

Your POV:
I was running as fast as I could while gun shots could be heard behind me. My old squad didn't want to leave me alone, and they would do everything to eliminate me. That's how Chaos Insurgency works.

They didn't want to kill me because I wanted to quit, but because I betrayed them and secretly co-operated with Serpent's Hand. I never wanted to join the Insurgency, it was my boyfriend who forced me to do that despite the fact, that my views on anomalies was completly different than his. He wanted to use them as a weapon, while I wanted to release them to society.

Unfortunataly they found out about me sooner than I thought, but luckily I managed to run to a forest where I was trying to hide. I quickly climbed a tree and sat there in a complete silence, while they were looking for me. At one point they ran next to my hiding spot but didn't bother to look up.

After few minutes they left, but I didn't want to go down. I had a feeling, that this wasn't over yet and they prepared something for me, so I stayed on the tree for three more minutes, before I found out, what was their plan.

While I was looking around, I saw a killer robot with a thermal camera searching for me. While my squad didn't bother looking up, he didn't have any problems with that and spotted me almost immidiately. He pulled out a metalic spear, aimed and threw it at me with a vast speed, while I was barely able to avoid it.

After that he took another one and threw it, while I was jumping down. It missed again but I knew that without a weapon I don't stand a chance againts the terminator itself. I began running away from him, but after two seconds felt his spear piercing through my ear.

I hid behind a tree but that didn't help me, and after two more seconds another spear pierced through the tree and through my stomach. Fresh blood was dripping on the ground and I fell on my knees, while the robot approached me. I began losing consciousness and with the last piece of my mind I saw the terminator approaching me with a knife.

When I woke up, the first thing which came to my mind was an idea, that I got captured by Chaos Insurgency and I will be executed in front of my entire squad, but I quickly realised that it wasn't true, because I was lying on the ground in the same forest, where I tried to survive.

I looked around and saw a man with a skull on his head, and dead bodies of my previous squad around him. Terminator's head was hanging on a tree while his body got dismantled into smaller pieces. I tried to stand up and run away, but the pain in my stomach was unbearable. The entity slowly approached me and gave me some water to drink. My mouth was dry, so I gladly drank it and asked:

You: Who are you?

He didn't answer but instead kept looking at me with curiosity.

You: You aren't the type of guy who likes to talk, huh?

323: No, I do talk but I am surprised about what you said.

You: D-Did I say something wrong?

323: Most of you humans ask me "what are you", and you asked me "who are you"... That's new for me...

You: I am not like my squad, that's why I betrayed them.

323: Betraying the SCP Foundation, it won't end well for you.

You: I betrayed the Chaos Insurgency, not SCP Foundation.

323: Chaos Insurgency? Who are they?

You: They use anomalies as their weapons and for their own purpose. Foundation contains anomalies while my group, Serpent's Hand wants to merge them to society.

323: I am aware of Foundation's goals, because I managed to escape from them few days ago, but those two other groups are new for me.

You: Chaos Insurgency is a pain in ass for both Serpent's Hand and SCP Foundation, and I was forced to join them because of my boyfriend. I didn't like them, so secretly I was co-operating with Serpent's Hand and today I wanted to escape to their place, but my squad found about about my plans and my betrayal, and tried to eliminate me.

323: Do you think that this Serpent's Hand would accept me?

You: Definitely! I can bring you to them, but we have to wait for the night, unless we want to get spotted in the city.

323: Good point, lets wait.

We stayed in the forest for few more hours, and during the night he took me on his arms and went with me to Hand's hiding place. O had to tell him where to go, and when we got there I knocked on the door, waiting for somebody to appear.

Guard: What are you two doing in here? This is a library and it is closed!

You: We want to enter Serpent's Hand base, my name is Y/N L/N and I was spying Chaos Insurgency for them.

Guard: That's bullshit, things like that don't exist! Wait in here, I am going to call the police and they will arrest you, you immature kids!

He went deeper into the building, while the guy asked me:

323: Shouldn't we run away? If police finds us, I will get captured by the Foundation again.

You: Just wait.

After two minutes, he came back to us, opened the door and said:

Guard: Sorry for insulting you, but that's my protocol for dealing with attempts to enter the Wanderer's Library. I checked you in our database, and you weren't lying. Follow me, both of you.

He closed the door and approached a computer, where he typed something. After few seconds, a hidden door opened and revealed a portal behind them.

Guard: Go through it, and don't be afraid. Welcome to Serpent's Hand.

We did as he said, and after entering the portal we found ourselves in Wanderer's Library, a place which is the main base for this organization, and which has access to different worlds. Thanks to that, Serpent's Hand has the highest chance of surviving in case a world gets destroyed, because the Library is interdimensional, and not located in a regular world. Immidiately we were welcomed by Serpent Hand's personel, who looked at the guy who brought me and said:

Hand's staff: Isn't that Wendigo, who is contained by SCP Foundation?

323: Almost true but with a small correction, I was contained by them, but I am not anymore.

Hand's staff: Welcome to our organization then, make yourself at home.

323: I will, but first you need to help her with a wound on a stomach.

Having said that, he has shown them my wound from the spear, which managed to heal a little bit and it wasn't bleeding anymore.

Hand's staff: We will bring her to our doctors. It is a miracle that it didn't get infected by anything.

He called two other members who grabbed me and brought to a small hospital, where I got my wound checked and healed. They put me under anaesthetic for that, and when I woke up, I saw Wendigo standing next to me.

323: Hey, you are finally awake.

You: Were you waiting in here the entire time?

323: Yes, because I wanted to tell you something.

Having said that, he gave me a forehead kiss and said:

323: Thank you for bringing me here.

You: Don't mention it, I had to do that. I just cannot stand this inequality in our world.

323: You are the first human that didn't treat me like an animal, thank you. I will be waiting for you to leave the hospital, and then we will officially join the Serpent's Hand.

He left, while I was lying on the hospital bed. This Wendigo guy truely cared about me, so maybe our relation would become something bigger in the future? Who knows, this world's future is unknown.
