The little child panicked as the sirens went off, running as far as their tiny legs could take them. All they wanted to do was live happily with their family,

with Lupin Blanc.

Their legs got sore after a few minutes of running, the fresh cuts on their feet made it harder to run, but they didn't stop. They couldn't. They knew if they stopped even for a second, those freaks would reach them, and take them back.

"009! Stop this instant!"

Their eyes got watery when they heard that voice, were they catching up to them?

The child instantly began praying. Not once have they prayed, they weren't even religious because they never thought about 'God'.

'God, whoever is up there, please, I'm begging you, don't let them reach me, please!'

They fell down, they quickly looked back to see 3 of them surrounding them.

'My prayer was disregarded.'

Well. That's what the child thought at least.

A beast, a thing, the child couldn't even comprehend what it was. All they could do was stare as the 6 legged beast crushed and stomped on the heads of the people that were chasing the child.

This...Thing. Is a monster.

The child trembled in fear as the monster stepped towards them, its teeth sharp, crazed bloodshot eyes, the crimson fur stained with blood. Everything scared them. Though the child understood what was happening soon after.

Their friend wasn't responding, the child realized their innocent friend had gotten replaced by a monster, the child felt anger, fear, disgust all at once.

"Y-you..." They stuttered. The monster only got closer as they tried to get away.

"Yo-you're n-not...."

"Leave me alone..."

The poor child couldn't even talk properly.

"You're not..."

"You're not Lupin Blanc..."

"Bring Lupin Blanc back..."

All of a sudden, they felt different. They looked up at the monster as their eyes widened, but this time, filled only with anger.

"GIVE ME BACK MY FRIEND, YOU MONSTER!"

"BRING BACK LUPIN BLANC!"

"BRING THEM BACK!"

You quickly jolted up, you looked around your surroundings to find yourself in the cabin. You heard some commotion outside, so you got off the sofa and walked towards the door. You opened it to find Fugo, Narancia, and Abbacchio outside. Their attention shifted towards you when you took a step towards them.

"[F/n]! Are you okay?!" Fugo ran towards you with the other two trailing behind him.

"Hm? Yeah! Why wouldn't I be?" You asked innocently.
