Freaks — Surf Curse

After all she had done, Gianina assumed that nobody would come knocking at her door ever again. She assumed wrong, and was surprised to see Rebekah on the other side, the original vampire looking distraught. The Salvatore girl furrowed her brows, about to speak when she was interrupted.

"There's no time for chit chat, we have a dire matter we need to discuss." The Mikaelson girl made her way into the room, slamming the door shut behind her before she went over to the kitchen and put the sink on.

"What exactly is that for?" Gia quirked a brow, leaning on her countertop.

"Your brothers, they've been snooping around here and they cannot hear what i'm about to tell you." Rebekah let out a sigh as she held onto the bridge of her nose. "As you know, if Klaus dies, you die."

"I vaguely remember that." Gianina replied sarcastically, hoping there wasn't another kill the Mikaelsons plan in order that she would have to help stop.

"Well, it looks like there's a chance you might be dying very soon." The blonde bit her inner lip. "When I was in the caves with Elena, I noticed markings on the wall that basically say that there was a small white oak tree that grew about one hundred years after my family left here."

"Okay...?" The Salvatore girl felt like there was more to it, or else her friend wouldn't be so nervous.

"White oak can kill an original, again, as you know. Even Klaus, and if we don't find out what happened to that tree, we could die." Rebekah finally explained, letting out a frustrated sigh.

This wasn't good news, not at all.

"So what do we do?" Now, Gianina was the one pinching her temple. "It's not like we can just go on a scavenger hunt to find some gold."

"That's why I came here."

Gia managed to work her magic and get a meeting with Mayor Lockwood at the grill. For some odd reason, her and the woman always got along quite well, and she was willing to always hear the Salvatore girls ideas and thoughts. This especially came in handy during a time like this.

"Hello, Gia." The woman greeted with a smile as she sat across from the two girls. "Rebekah."

"Mayor Lockwood." Gianina bowed her head poliely. "Rebekah and I have a few questions for you, if you'll allow it."

"I'm listening." Carol waved her hand for them to start speaking, the blonde at the table taking it as her chance.

"Thank you for meeting with us Mayor. I figured as head of the preservation society, you'd be a good person to ask about the trees in this community." The Mikaelson girl explained, her head slightly tilted to the side, and shoulders perfectly straight.
