"You saved me...I was about to die" the man said after being saved by Ayaka herself. "Thank you so much for your help. I'm Teppei of the Gobius platoon. I'm with the resistance" he introduced.
"I'm Paimon, the Traveler and this is Ayaka! Kamisato Ayaka" Paimon replied.
"Wait Ayaka..you mean the daughter of the Yashiro commission?" He asked
"Yep!" Paimon replies
"Wait.. are you here to support the resistance? It would be a huge boost for the resistance" Teppei said.
Paimon retort
"Hey, we didn't yet agree y'know"
"I'm sorry about that. I'm just a bit excited seeing two Strong people here at the frontline" he said while looking at both Ayaka and the traveler.
Before Paimon could say anything Ayaka beat her to it "We're here to sign up to join the resistance"
"Great! Just the other day I heard General Gorou complaining about how desperate we are for more people. Your support will make a big difference." Teppei says and told them to follow him to the camp.
As they walk, Teppei told them the current situation. "As you can see, the resistance is at a constant disadvantage the whole time"
Paimon looked at the destruction everywhere. "The Shogun doesn't show at least a bit of mercy"
"I can't help but feel sad for the families of these people" Ayaka started looking at the corpse of both resistance and shogunate everywhere.
The trio also found out that the whole of Yashiori island had already fallen to the shogun's hand.
"I guess Paimon knows who is the winner right now," Paimon said as she look at the Watatsumi islands full of shogunate camps.
"They are only one step away from our home," Teppei said. "I wonder how many are there" Paimon wondered.
"There's too many of them. Are they trying to overpower you with Numbers" Traveler said looking at the several ships everywhere.
"you could tell how many are they?" Ayaka pondered as aether and he shrugged.
The three along with Teppei run at their fastest speed to get to one of the boats and head to Watatsumi island next.
Watatsumi Island
Inside the camp of the resistance. Gorou can be seen waiting. "General Gorou!" Teppei greeted and told him everything that happen including how the trio rescue him from the shogunate.
He also told them about travelers who can use elements without vision. "The resistance uses people with that kind of skills. We could bring them in" He finished.
Gorou cleared his throat "I presume you have heard of the resistance goal to defeat the Shoguns Army and repeal the Vision Hunt Decree" telling them that this is no easy task and each who sets foot on the battlefield must be ready to sacrifice their life.
"Tell me, why do you wish to join the resistance?" He questioned the three because they cannot accept any who don't possess warrior will so members must be certain of their decision.
"I want to bring joy and happiness to Inazuma once again even if it means fighting to the front line with my life on the line!" The heron said with determination.
"Wait... aren't you the daughter of Yashiro commission? Does the head of the clan approved of this?" Gorou asked what the heck Ayato is doing now her sister is in this state.
"Wait, Teppei ask the same thing earlier. Didn't you get news from Inazuma city lately?" Paimon asked.
"Our information line has been cut from the rest of Inazuma after losing many battles continuously" Gorou replied.
"I see no wonder you don't know a thing," Paimon said as she told them about the current state of the Kamisato Clan.
"I see, that explains why the provisions suddenly stopped," Gorou said making Ayaka confused. He told her about Ayato's true intention. In fact, he is helping the resistance secretly by sending resources needed for a possible long war.
"Let's get to the main topic, for now, traveler what's your thought about it?" Gorou asked.
The traveler can't say anything since he doesn't know what he will reply to. He couldn't just say that his bored or just want to fight the Shogun.
Paimon replied
"Hey, the traveler is too tired right now. How about let us join hehe, y'know seeing your current state? I'm sure you need traveler strength here."
Gorou think for a while and nodded. "Your right, but are you sure about this? We are on the losing side"
Paimon exclaimed.
"Of course we are! Traveler alone can easily turn the tide of the battle" aether just sighed at her trance. "Also y'know we have been put on the wanted list too due to traveler defying the Shogun's wish"
"Come to think of it. In one of the dead shogunate soldiers, we saw a wanted poster about a man with blonde hair and his mysterious flying pet. So that's you two.
"That's right! Wait...who are they calling a mysterious flying pet!" Paimon shouted
"My apologies. I understand your situation well enough for now. On behalf of the resistance, welcome to our ranks"
Suddenly a voice of a girl can be heard behind. "Traveler I've been waiting for you all this time"
