Morning has returned to the state and everything is calm. Kamisato Ayato is currently organizing a party for the Traveler even though he is not yet woken up.
Every vision wielder is surprised about this so they will also join and a lot of people around Inazuma wanted to meet the man who knocks some sense into the shogun.
Raiden Ei on the other hand just smiled and thought if she will also go or not. Ayato gives her an invitation.
Inside the Kamisato state Traveler is still sleeping. His heart was now beating yet he hasn't woken up or even open his eyes for once.
A loud footstep can be heard as Ayato just smiled and opened. "Brother! Is it true that he woke up?!" Ayaka asked but suddenly she saw the shogun inside sipping a tea.
She was surprised to see the shogun with his brother. Yeah, she knows that Ayato always visits the shogun in her palace but that is to finish some paperwork about the new system of governance.
Due to her surprise, she just decide to leave but suddenly she heard the Shogun's voice.
"In the past, your manners were always there, respect, and even yourself were well fixing, an attitude befitting a royal, but now it's the opposite" Raiden stated while looking at her.
"Ha Haha! Just let her be. It's cute seeing her that way" Ayato laughed, before Ayaka could reply the shogun said "That's better, Me and Ayato is currently discussing to abolished the Inazuma Shogunate which means abolishing the Shisei Seido along with the feudal systems that I established"
Inazuma Shogunate is a system the shogun used for all the clan leaders to only answer to the Shogun alone,
Shisei Seido is a system in which the Imperial Court assigned a clan name and a hereditary title to aristocrats living in the capital and powerful local clans based on their level of commitment to the state.
Inazuma Shogunate has only one ruler and that is the Shogun so she is also the Imperial court in here and the one who will decide for all.
While the feudal system refers to the connection between lords and vassals in which land ownership and use were traded for military service and devotion.
Ayaka was quite surprised about this. "But will the other clans agree to it?" She asked and Ei shrugged. She knows it would be hard and she will still do it even if it means using force.
"But what kind of government you will make?" She asked. What the mews just say is she will make an electoral system but what kind of government is it?
"It's called Inazuma restoration. The new era will now open" The Shogun stated. Ei then explained how this system works.
"Just like I said earlier the Inazuma Shogunate will be abolished along with the other two," Ei said as she knew that if she don't do it then the Inazuma that was divided into several classes will never unite.
The stability that feudalism provided was a major benefit. This, together with a well-organized system of protection, served to keep the Inazuma running smoothly. The genuine benefits of this system were felt by the clan leaders and his/her close allies, although it was beneficial to social order.
"Even though this system has a lot of advantages. Only the people inside the clans or its allies are enjoying the advantages of this kind of system. The reason why is the Division between poor and rich"
"Peasant is not treated well, their taxes are much higher and they are forced to do labor just to live their everyday life. Law doesn't even work on them because it's useless, the rich will just manipulate the law and use it for their own gain."
Ei said as she told her about the three clan leaders that she eliminated because of doing such an act and trying to hide it.
"Added to that, the discrimination the people of Inazuma felt under my reign. Only clan families have the rights to join the ranks, start a business or a small store, make an appeal, and even have his/her name while the peasant has no rights in all of this" Ei said as Ayaka felt sad as she remembered meeting a lot of people having this kind of life.
"I must abolish this kind of system or else Inazuma will be left behind by the other seven-nation" She finished.
Ayaka sigh in relief and smiled. She is glad that the shogun finally sees what Inazuma wanted. The Nation was now ready to accept Changes.
"Though it will be hard after all the shogun's time is limited. In one year. she will step down so this need to be completed before her time runs out" Ayato said
"That's why I said that I'll use force if needed" She replied and look at Ayaka.
"As to what kind of privilege the Inazuma Restoration will do, I'll tell it to you" she changes the way she sits and moves in front of Ayaka.
The two of them are now sitting face to face.
"This system will unite the country under a new, centralized government to strengthen the whole army to defend against foreign influence" she stated as Ayaka remember how the resistance and shogunate armies become one.
"The new army will consist of all men or women around all islands in Inazuma. Age, gender, and race discrimination can't be tolerated. Anyone is free to join as long as you are ready to fight for Inazuma. The army will be divided into two, one is the Army which be led by Kojou Sara and Gorou, and the Navy, I still don't know who will lead the navy since Kokomi won't accept because she is the priestess of Watatsumi island"
"With this system, will help Inazuma flourish more. From now we will do industrialization to strengthen the nation and to be prepared for future conflict" Ei Finish.
"Added to that, the Fatui and the Tsaritsa are extending their sphere of influence in every nation including us," Ayato said as he handed to Ayaka the diplomacy letter that the Tsaritsa send to the shogun.
"Why does she want me?" She is confused as to why the Tsaritsa, one of the seven archons wanted someone like her.
"If you think that this is about working under her then you are highly mistaken. Ayaka, she wants to dispose of you" Ei said making Ayaka tremble. Breathing heavily couldn't accept that one of the archons will hunt her down.
What will the Tsaritsa get from her? She couldn't understand it at all. "W-why...what did she see on me? I didn't even do...anything!" She said while stuttering.
Raiden Ei then gently grab her hand and surprised her. "Wai-wait!" She suddenly yelled as Raiden remove her white gloves.
She couldn't believe that the shogun is touching her hand as suddenly Ei electrocuted her. But not too strong to make her yell.
Both Ayato and Ayaka are surprised to see something glowing at her hand. A marking appeared the same as the color of a cryo.
"What's that?" Ayato asked. The shogun then stopped passing Electro-energy on her as the mark disappeared.
Ayaka put her gloves on and wondered what that was. "Seems that my hunch is true," she said. "What do you mean? Did something happen to my sister?" Ayato worriedly asked while Ayaka is panicking a bit.
She seriously looks at Ayaka "No matter what you must not leave Inazuma." Surprising the two. The shogun continues "As long as I am here, the Tsaritsa won't touch even a strand of your hair"
"Shogun-sama I guess you scaring my sister," Ayato said as he could see Ayaka shaking a. bit.
"The Inazuma Restoration shall be completed at all cost Ayato, for the sake of the Inazuma Future and...your sister," Ei said as Ayato nodded.
Ayaka is scared as to why one of the archons wanted to kill her and what is the mark that appeared on her hand makes the shogun surprised and even advised her to don't leave the Inazuma at all costs telling her that she would protect her as long as she's inside.
Before Raiden Ei leave the state she told Ayaka this "Once the Traveler wakes up, Ask him and I'm sure he will tell you about the mark on your hand."
