Elliot's quiet sobs could be heard by her brother and the supernatural creatures as she clung onto her brother like he was going to disappear. And to her, she felt like he was going to.

She had been so close to losing him. Just like she had to lose him every single time either one of them would get brainwashed by the scientists at Hydra. It was like one moment they would be back with each other, the bond between the two siblings stronger than ever. And then the next, one of them was getting dragged away while the other screamed out for their other half.

It was always heartbreaking for either of them to go through such a thing.

Every time it happened neither of them knew if they were ever going to see their sibling with their mind and body intact. It was always a waiting game. Seeing if and when the person they solely relied on was going to come back.

And for a short moment, the two had been freed from the grasp of Hydra and their inhumane treatment.

But then it came back around like some sort of sick and fucked up karma for escaping.

And they had to relive all the pain, trauma, and longing all over again.

Natasha stood by the Mikaelsons as all of them had been watching the siblings fight with a slight intrigue and worry as they did so.

Now that the two of them were no longer fighting, they couldn't help but compare the scene to the equivalent of a younger child clinging to their parents when something bad happened. And maybe that's just how the dynamic between Bucky and Elliot was always going to be.

It wasn't like Elliot had known their parents all too long before they had passed away. She was only a mere child when she had lost them, she never really had a chance to get to know them or see how much they cared for her and her brother. Once she lost her parents, all she had in her life was her brother. He had been the one to take care of her when he was only a teenager himself. He had been the one who raised her and took care of her and showed her how much he loved her. Bucky had been the only parental figure in her life that she actually remembered. He had been a brother and a father all in one for her.

So maybe that was why it all seemed so familiar to them.

But also because of how it all was, they all couldn't help but look away from the siblings, wanting to let them have their moment on their own.
