3rd Person Omniscient POV
Dream lies on the bed, sound asleep. After a long day of running through the flower field, he was exhausted.
Y/N is gathering potions, ender pearls, golden apples, and discs. She places them in her belt and glances at the Nightmare mask.
Punz and Sapnap will be looking for us. This has to work. She thinks.
"Y/N?" Dream asks groggily as he sits up. "Where are you going?"
"To take care of some hunters."
"Who?"
"Punz and Sapnap, they're looking for us."
"I want to come too," he starts to get out of bed.
"No," she looks back at the mask and puts it on.
"Please? I'm ready to face them now," she looks at Dream questionably.
"Fine, come here," he flinches slightly at her voice change.
Dream climbs out of bed and follows her into the armor room. Y/N takes a set of armor off a stand and hands it to him.
Nightmare.
Dream excitedly puts it on and she hands him some more items, including his mask.
His fingers brush across the pure white surface.
"I cleaned it for you," she says with a smile and slips on his own mask.
He slips the mask over his face and ties the straps behind. Feels good.
"One last thing," Nightmare says as she hands him a dark green cloak with a hood and gold clasp.
Dream slips it on and puts the hood up with a grin.
"Let's do this."
Nightmare locks up the base and Dream follows. They travel for a while until they reach a forest, not far from the Smp. They climb a tree to wait and as night begins to fall, they hear voices.
"What's your plan?" Dream asks in a whisper.
"Trust me, I know what I'm doing," Nightmare whispers back.
The figures move steadily closer
Dream's hand grips the sword handle.
Nightmare holds two discs.
"Where do you think they could be?" Punz asks.
"I don't know but I'll kill them, both of them, when I see them," Sapnap is saying.
Dream hesitates, then puts his sword back.
Sapnap and Punz are too strong. They'll both go straight for me. I don't want to make this harder. I could cause her plan to fail. I'll stay out of this fight. I'll train. Then come back for a rematch.
Dream shakes his head at Nightmare. She seems to understand and gets ready to jump. Dream wraps himself in the cloak to hide the glowing netherite and waits.
Nightmare makes sure the potions are easily available.
I only have one target.
Punz.
Punz and Sapnap move closer until they're directly underneath.
She takes a deep breath and jumps down.
A disc slices Sapnap's shoulder almost immediately and the second hits Punz's leg.
He gasps and just as he reaches for his sword, Nightmare throws him against a tree and splashes him with a weakness potion.
