35. Friends Again

Dream POV

"I've really missed you Sap" I say.

"I missed you too brother" he says. "I'm sorry for not visiting you more than once in the prison and only sending you one Christmas card telling you not to escape"

"It's all in the past now" I say.

"Right, right" he scratches his head. "I want to join you, I want to be one your side and help you"

"What are you getting out of this?" I ask. Surely he has some underlying motive.

"I wish for you to be a true friend to George and I again. I ask that you won't hurt Karl or Kinoko Kingdom and I'll try to convince Karl to join us."

I think for a moment.

I don't need to hurt Karl. I'll keep my end of the deal, if he doesn't betray me.

"Okay," I say. "As long as you don't betray me"

"I won't" he promises. "I don't want to repeat history"

He then turns towards Punz.

"Punz, why did you decide to join?"

"I just regretted what I did to Dream, betraying him and putting him in prison. I wanted to join him and Nightmare to make up for my mistakes"

Sapnap stares off at the night sky for a second.

"If I join," he says slowly. "Will I have to stay here or go back to the Smp"

"You'll go back to the Smp," Nightmare says. "Punz will be there as well."

"Okay so can I join?" Sapnap asks. "I won't betray you or spill any information regarding this. I'll be ready to fight whenever you need me to"

I glance at Nightmare who nods and at Punz who smiles.

"Yes, you can join us" I say.

Sapnap gives a quiet cheer and smiles.

"I won't fail you this time bro" he says.

"You should head back" Nightmare says. "We also need to get Punz back to the Smp and figure out a convincing lie"

"I'll say that I found Punz with you and I was able to get him back" Sapnap suggests.

"Sound good" I say. "Can we stop by Kinoko Kingdom to see George, I want to talk to him"

"Sure" Sapnap says. "He's missed you too"

The four of us travel through the nether and past the buildings. After dropping Punz off at his house, we step into the kingdom.

I never got to see it before but it is amazing.

Pink cherry blossom trees, a lake with the Yin and Yang symbol on the bottom, houses that resemble mushrooms, and green grass dotted with flowers.

"Wow" I say.

"You like it?" Sapnap asks.

"It's beautiful" I say. "Did you build all of this?"
