Maeve sat amongst heaps of clothes that now covered her usually tidy bedroom carpet with a sigh. "I don't even know where to start," she giggled, looking around the room. "I usually try to do one section at a time. Maybe start with underwear, then trousers, then tops and then hoodies and jumpers. Then we'll deal with everything else," Mason laughed in response, watching her from the edge of her bed where he sat with a warm, genuine smile. "Yeah, you're right," the girl agreed, getting up and rummaging through her underwear draw before grabbing a selection of her favourite underwear, bras and socks. Mason was trying to be respectful and not watch, his glance purely focused on the clothes dotted around the room. But he almost felt a cheeky smirk spread over his cheek as he caught a glimpse of the items being added to her bag. Next, she reached for all of her leggings, jeans and joggers, throwing in a few pairs of shorts and skirts. "Mouse we're only there for a couple of weeks, you don't need your whole wardrobe," Mason laughed at her, his brown eyes creasing as he shook his head. She turned to glare at him playfully. "I might need them all!" Maeve continued chucking clothes into her bags. Soon enough, she'd finished with clothes and toiletries and left her bags by the door, content she was ready to go in the morning. The room fell silent as they both stared at her multiple bags. "Got enough?" Mason laughed, raising his eyebrows. Maeve turned to face him, playfully pouncing on him and knocking him back onto the bed with her. "Never question a girls packing, mount," she whispered, playfully pinning him down, her leg over his middle. "Noted," he whispered, his eyes fixated on her eyes, then her lips. Maeve's heart fluttered. Was this a moment? She didn't want to move, just to let her eyes integrate with his, as there hits synced to the rhythm of their palpitating heart beats, confirming their feelings to each of them. They may have only known eachother a matter of weeks, but the feelings either of them had felt in that time were something to come only after years. Something to cherish, and treasure. Gently, mason raised his hand, slowly caressing the girls cheek, then jaw, then head. She gave in to his embrace, relishing a small grin on her rosey cheeks. "Maeve," he whispered, his eyes trailing between his hand movements, her eyes and her lips. "Yes mase?" "I -" "Oi mouse can you watch jade for abit?" Dec jumped them both out of the moment, bursting through the door in his usual hyper state. The pair of them immediately removed their hands from eachother, sitting up and dusting themselves off. "Holy shit what the fuck did I just walk into?" He threw his hands to his face, it was unclear whether in disgust, anger or excitement. "Yeah sure, I'll come down now," Maeve ignored his comment, standing up off her bed. "That didn't answer my question did it?" He raised an eyebrow, now leaning against the door, his blue gaze flicking between his step sister and his best friend, who couldn't help but blush with a smirk. "Mase was just helping me pack," MJ shrugged, nudging mason for his confirmation on this. The boy nodded. "Pack What? A baby into your womb?" Dec laughed hysterically. Mason also burst out laughing, sharing jokes with his best friend. "Whatever, Im going to find Jade," Maeve rolled her hers playfully, mason following Dec to his room to play on the Xbox, sharing a sweet but short glance with the girl as they walked off in their seperate directions.
