Chapter 43: Fantasia

When everything cleared, no one appeared to be even hurt from Laxus' casting of Fairy Law.

Laxus: B-But... Why? Why wasn't any of you killed?

Raiga: Is everyone okay?

Gajeel: Yeah.

Levy: Yeah, I'm fine. 

Raiga: How about, Gajeel?

Gajeel: I'm fine.

Laxus was in disbelief.

Laxus: After using all that magical power...

Freed: All the members of the guild and the people of the city are safe as well.

An injured Freed walked in through the entrance.

Laxus: Freed...

Freed: Not a single person has been killed.

Laxus: That shouldn't be! My Fairy Law was perfect!

Freed: It was your heart, Laxus. You inherited more than just the master's strength and magical power. You also got a heart that feels for your friends! Fairy Law only affects those the caster sees as an enemy. You understand what this means, right Laxus?

Levy: The feelings he has deep down are revealed through his magic.

Raiga: But if that's the case, I don't get it. Why force himself to do all this?

Freed: Magic never lies, Laxus. This is what you really feel.

Laxus: No! Everyone who gets in my way is my enemy! My enemy!

Freed: Just quit this already, Laxus. Go to the master.

Laxus then reactivated his Dragon Slayer Magic.

Laxus: Who gives a crap about that old man? I am me! Not just some old man's "grandson!" I'M LAXUS!!!

Freed: Laxus...

Raiga then realized what the what the deal was.

Raiga: You petty asshole! Is that what this is about!? You think no one sees you for who you are!?

Raiga takes of his shirt and powers up.

Raiga: That's just ridiculous!

Laxus: And what the hell do you know?

Raiga: We know you don't want to do this! So just give it up!

Laxus: Shut up, Raiga!!

The two Dragon Slayers charged at each other clashing through the roof of the cathedral and trading blows with each other as they flew around the sky. The others were outside watching the remainder of the fight.

Laxus: Disappear off the face of the earth!

Raiga: Get bent!!

Laxus punches Raiga making him crash to a wall.

Laxus: Can't you even die right!?

Laxus punches him again sending him all the way back to the roof. Then he kicks him pushing him back.

Laxus: Do you honestly think you could beat me?

Levy: Raiga!

Raiga: It doesn't have to be this way! Just think about it, Laxus.

Laxus: Shut up! Lightning Dragon Breakdown Fist!
