Chapter 15

Sam came in hesitantly after that brief moment and told us that Sharon was going to help us out and let us know what the hell we're going to walk into.

We got up quickly and went headed to grab Zemo and leave.

We start heading down the street near the location Zemo gave us on where the funeral is going to be.

Of course, we saw John at a good distance ahead of us.

"Karli Morgenthau is too dangerous for you guys to be pulling this shit!"He shouts with a bitter tone.

"Ah! How'd you find us now?!" Bucky asks with a sarcastic happy tone.

It almost makes me wanna laugh.

"Come on man, you think two Avengers can walk around Latvia without drawing attention?" John's friend says.

"No more leaving us in the dark. You can start by telling us why you broke him out of prison," he says pointing towards Zemo.

"He did that himself, technically," Bucky explains.

"This better be an unbelievable explana-"

"Take it easy before it gets weird," Sam says holding John back from getting in Buckys face.

I cringe at his reaction. I'm literally watching a grown man act like a child. A child who's getting angry no one wants to play along and follow his rules.

"I know where Karli is," Zemo interjects.

We try to walk ahead and John puts his hand on Zemo stopping him.

"Well, where?" He asks.

"All we know is, it's a memorial," Sam explains. "So we're going to intercept her there."

"That means civilians. High risk of casualties," his friend says stating the obvious.

Which is why we don't need them. They'll only go about it a completely different way and ruin everything. They'll turn it into a shit show.

"All right, good we'll move in fast. Take her by surprise."

And there it is.

"No I wanna talk to her alone," Sam explains.

"I'm not losing her again," John says.

"Look the person closest to her died, she's vulnerable. If there's any time to reason with her, it's now."

"What? No. Wait, No! No! Hold on. Stop, okay?"

And there's that child. The child who wants everyone to follow by his rules.

"I think we're way past reasoning with her. Unless you forgot the fact that she blew up a building with people still in it."

"Sam, you walk in there cold, she could kill you," John's friend warns him.

Could.

"And if I go in hot and the op goes wrong more people will die."

"He's right," I tell John sticking by Sam.

He ignores both of us and looks straight at Bucky.

"You're gonna let him do this?"

I'm sorry..let?!

I glare at him in hopes that if I stare hard enough he'll explode or something. Anything for him to get out of my sight and shut his mouth.

"Are you gonna let your partner walk into a room with a super-soldier alone?"
