i see your eyes shift as you speak
you know that your words hurt me
because i loved you most
when you loved me least
don't tell me this is who you are
don't give me a cold shoulder
i watch your lips as you puff on that cigar
and the smoke comes out as you release
don't tell me this is who you are
i see your eyes shift as you speak
your tone is different now
because i loved you most
when you loved me least
and oh these emotions you allow
to seep out of your skin like poison
with each word without a reason
and i stand there frozen
because i loved you most
when you loved me least
where do i start?
i can barely speak
and i wish we could restart
because your words hurt like bullets
and with each word is another pellet
so now my vision is blurred
and your voice is becoming more slurred
and as i fall to the ground
i expect you to pick me up
and the thump of my body makes a sound
i expect you to be in my view
because i loved you most
when you loved me least.

wow i'm really proud of this one omg :)
i think i'm gonna do more poems based off of songs that i like because it really gets my creative juices flowing. i'm gonna use this poem for a class project so wish me luck.
