"I'm just waiting for an uber. You have as long as my uber arrives" I lied. I know it wasn't wise but I wanted to be around Johnny. I have been miserable all this time, this is like a cheat day one has when dieting.
"You were always bad at lying" he smiled
I didn't say anything just crossed my arms.
"Walk with me" He said and started to walk towards a house. It was big and pretty.
"What am I looking at?" I asked

He opened the door of the house.
"Let's take a tour inside" he said
"You wanted to show me a house?" I asked climbing up the stairs.
"Not just any house" he said smiling
"I bought this place" He said keeping the door open for me to walk in.
I looked at him shocked "why? And in this neighbourhood?" I asked
"I'll tell you everything." He said
"But first, a tour. This is the hall." He said "the TV will go here, see this" he said pointing at the fireplace. "The sofa will go here, near the fireplace. And...walk with me" he said "this is the kitchen. Has dishwasher and all. Even a laundry chute" he said opening the chute "see" he said all excited "there are three bedrooms upstairs. And one of them even has a walk-in closet."

"Why did you buy this house?" I asked him
"I'll tell you...... after I show you this." He said opening the door of another room.
"Please come in" he said
I walked inside ahead of Johnny.
I turned my back towards Johnny examining the room. It was a huge room. It had a wall sized window on one of the wall and the other three had racks built like bookcases in libraries. And there was a rolling ladder as well.
"What is this place? A library?" I asked
"I built it. Do you like it?" Johnny asked with a smile
"I don't understand" i said looking around
"Well do you like it?" He said
"Yeah, it looks good" i said
He walked towards me and hugged me.
I hugged him back.
Being in his arms felt like all my problems had been solved. It felt like I had never been away from him. I was melting in his arms. I didn't want to let go of him.
He reached his arm out and flicked a switch.
The room lit up. Every rack had LED lights installed. He had set it at a warm tone. I turned around to look at the room. It looked really pretty.
He hugged me from behind. I held his arm.
I had missed being around Johnny so much.
"I built this library for you." He said
I turned towards him.
"Johnny.....why?? What is all this? You are scaring." I said
"Let's sit at the porch and talk." He said
I nodded.
We went outside and sat on the porch.
"Now explain.....all this" i said waving my hand side ways at the house.

"I have been an idiot." Johnny said
"I've been looking at it all the wrong way. I want kids. I want to be a father. I want to be father who is there. I want to be a father I didn't have or was able to be to Robby." He said with a little tear in his eyes.
"Johnny" i said and hugged him.
"I bought this house for us." He said retracting from the hug and held me hands.
"I built that library for you. With a rolling ladder, just the way you like." He said
"I can't.... I can't believe you remembered that." I choked.
"How can I not? You are the only dork in my life I love" he said smiling.
I smiled. Not knowing what to say. All this has been overwhelming for me.
"I am ready....to have kids....to start a family with you....whenever you are. No matter when that is, five years down the line......ten....even twenty ...whenever you are ready. I'll be ready. I can't spend another day of my life without you in it" he said
"Be my girlfriend again." He said
I hugged him tight. Really really tight. Like I was trying to make up for the lost month.
"Yes Johnny. Yessss. I want to be your girlfriend." I said
He let go of me, cupped my face and kissed me.
I held his hands. And kissed him back.
It was fireworks. As always. His lips had gotten softer.
"I love Y/N and she is mine. MINE. She is my girlfriend" he yelled at the top of his voice for the entire neighbourhood to hear.
I laughed.
"Johnny....Oh Johnny." I said kissing him
"I love you Johnny. I love you so much." I said
"But but....what changed? How can I be sure that you won't have a change of heart in the future.?" I asked concerned
"You ready for this?" He said cupping my face
I nodded
"Your parents happened. ....And Robby, but mostly your parents" He said
