Chapter Sixty-One
🌒 Codominance 🌘

Aurora, Liam and Mason walk down the hallway, Mason telling Aurora all about something he had recently doing out, just as an announcement is heard over the PA system. "Attention all students: Mr. O'Quinn's classes are canceled for today. If anyone knows his whereabouts, please let the office know immediately."

Liam noticed Hayden down the hall by her locker, where Theo is standing close to her and whispering something into her ear. Liam stopped in his track and scowled when he sees Hayden laughing at whatever it is that Theo said.

Mason and Aurora stop next to Liam and joins him in watching Theo, who clearly knows they're watching him and who is taking great pleasure in making Liam angry. When Aurora sees Liam clenching his jaw in an attempt to quell his fury, she raised her eyebrows. "You said Scott told you not to do anything." Aurora said and just continues grinding his teeth and glaring at Theo and Hayden, not taking his eyes off of them.

"I know." He said and Mason sighed worriedly, "Liam, you said you weren't gonna get involved." He said. "I know." Liam said in a low growl as they watch Theo and Hayden walk away, and it's obvious that Mason thinks Liam is going to start something.

Aurora thought for a moment before sighing and turning to the two. "Okay, listen. Scott said not to do anything but let's pretend he didn't." Aurora said making them look at her confused, "I want you guys to talk to Corey and Hayden. Try to figure out as much as you can about whatever Theo might be planning." Aurora said.

"What if they don't tell us anything?" Mason asked and Aurora gave him a look, "Then keep trying."

Aurora chuckled and shook her head slightly, watching as Ronan and Maeve shot at Jordan with a nerf gun. "How do you do it?" Leah asked making Aurora glance at her, "Do what?" Aurora asked. "Pick guys that the twins love. First Derek, now Jordan. For the only guys you've dates since the twins' dad, they're basically perfect." Leah said and Aurora chuckled and shook her head slightly.

"Maybe I'm lucky?" Aurora said and Leah playfully scoffed, "I wanna be lucky." Leah said making Aurora give her a look. "You are, you've been dating Braeden for a while." Aurora said making Leah hum and nod slightly, "True, I am very lucky." She said making Aurora chuckle. Aurora glanced over at the time to see it was nearing the twins bedtime.

"You guys having fun?" Aurora asked as she walked over to them making Jordan glance at her as he tried to blocked the nerf darts. "I think you should take them paintballing when their older." He said making her chuckle before looking at the twins, "I hate to break up the fun but it's almost bedtime." She said making the twins dramatically groan.

"But we're not tired!" They both said and Aurora raised her eyebrows, "You always say that but you fall asleep the second you lay down. Come on, you gotta get ready for bed." Aurora said as she took the nerf guns from them making them pout. "Let's go." Aurora said as she grabbed the top of their heads before directing them towards the hall.

After getting the twins ready and in bed, Aurora kissed their foreheads before walking over to turn in their nightlight. "Goodnight, loves." Aurora said as she turned to look at them, "Goodnight, Sleeping Beauty." The twins said at the same time naming Aurora smile at him before turning off the main light and closing the door behind her.

As she did so, her necklace started glowing making her grab it as she turned away from the twins door. But instead of seeing flashes of something, she now stood in a room at Eichen House.

Aurora furrowed her brows, glancing around cautiously as she walked to the door. When she walked out into the hall she glanced around before noticing Lydia down the hall. "Lydia?" She called out making Lydia spin around, "Aurora?" She asked, in a slight whisper as Aurora walked over to her.

"You're in my head. How are you in my head?" Lydia asked and Aurora sighed softly while glancing around, "I thought my necklace was giving me a vision. But clearly not." Aurora said before noticing something behind Lydia. "That's concerning." Aurora said making Lydia turn around to see Valack's broken cell.

Lydia cocks her head to the side as she examines the large hole broken into the glass of his cell, barely noticing the fact that she's walking over broken shards of glass as well as she approaches it. Aurora stood back, glancing around until someone else suddenly spoke up.

"Do you know how he did it?" Meredith asked making Aurora look to see the glass of the cell completely intact and now Meredith stood inside, holding paper cup as she looks at Lydia curiously. "He put the recorder in the cup to amplify my voice..." Lydia said as Aurora walked up and stood next her and slightly shook her head.

"It didn't just amplify your voice- it gave it direction. A focus." Aurora said and Meredith nodded before holding up a recorder as she walked closer to the glass. "Valack used your scream as a tool by focusing it." She said as she puts the audio recorder into the cup, "If you're going to use it as a weapon, you need to learn to do the same thing."

Meredith raises the cup so that it is right over her mouth, though she keeps it held flat against the glass. Suddenly, the recording of Lydia's Banshee scream is heard, shattering the glass into pieces that fall to the ground at Lydia's and Aurora's feet.

All of the sudden everything changed and now they stood in the library of the highschool. Meredith and Aurora watch from behind as Lydia walks over to the bookshelf where the seniors inscribed their initials during senior scribe and frantically knocks the yearbooks onto the floor, only to find to her horror that the shelf itself is completely blank.

"Our names are gone. Our initials..." Lydia said in a slight whisper as Aurora moved to stand next to her, she moved a few books on the shelf below to find it empty. "Not just your guy's. My class' names are gone too. Everyone's names are gone." She said and Lydia started at the shelves with a terrified look, "What am I supposed to do? How do I save them?" She asked.

"Don't be afraid..." Meredith said, but her voice was distant and echoed making Lydia and Aurora look at each other before walking over to the railing. Meredith laid on one of the tables, looking up at them as Theo, partially wolfed-out with his glowing gold eyes, fangs, and claws, stands over her. He looks up, directly at Lydia and growls menacingly as he reaches he clawed hand toward Meredith, causing Lydia to gasp in fear while Aurora's eyes widened.

"No, don't-!"

Despite Lydia's protests, Theo rips out Meredith's throat in the vision in her mind, and though Lydia's mouth is closed, her Banshee wail is still heard so loudly that it rumbles everything around her.

"Aurora!" Someone whispered harshly, breaking Aurora out of her trance making her glance around to see she was back in her house, Jordan and Leah standing in front of her. "What happened? You've been standing her for like five minutes." Jordan said and Leah nodded slightly, "You've never had a vision that lasted this long. What was it?" Leah asked and Aurora shook her head slightly.

"I wasn't in a vision..." Aurora said as she furrowed her brows, she could barely remember what she saw, "What was it?" Jordan asked. "I think I was in Lydia's head." Aurora said and Leah raised her eyebrows, "Is she okay?" She asked and Aurora was quiet for a moment, still holding her necklace.

"For now..."
