At the sight of Tony gesticulating wildly, Bucky came out from his cover, ready to defend his friend

"Are you FUCKING serious, Rogers?! What the hell is he doing here?"

Tony was held back by Rhodey and T-Challa as he prepared to charge at Bucky, snorting with rage.

"Tony..." Rhodey tried to calm him down, but was only moderately successful.

Natasha had also jumped up and stood between him and Bucky - as did Steve and Sam. Behind Tony, Okoye and Shuri were also getting ready to intervene and prevent a fight in case of emergency.

Wanda, Vision, as well as Emilia could only watch the upcoming escalation tensely from the table.

Emilia had feared that it would get out of hand as soon as Tony showed up. Still, she hoped it wouldn't come to that.

"This isn't about him, Tony." In his quiet way, Steve positioned himself between them so that he blocked Tony's view of Bucky.

"It will always be about him, Rogers! HE KILLED MUM!!!"

At Tony's words, everything in Bucky tightened. He clenched his hands into fists, knowing that this memory would haunt him as one of many for the rest of his life.

Too vivid were the images of those Dec. 16, 1991, when he killed the man he admired in his 40s for his ideas about the future... and also his wife.

He clenched his jaws so hard that Emilia could see the muscle twitching under his light beard. At Tony's accusation, a heated discussion erupted among the rest of the Avengers.

More allegations and charges of things long ago. These were followed by apologies and regrets, only to be overshadowed again shortly thereafter with new reproaches and threats.

The voices echoed through the hall and grew louder with each passing second.

Emilia looked around at the angry faces before her. She glanced at Bucky, who was still standing in the same spot, not saying a word. He was watching the chaos in front of him.

When she saw the guilt on his face, it was the straw that broke the camel's back. Her nerves were stretched to breaking point because of the lack of sleep and the impending danger.

She couldn't stand all this anymore.

Not this deafening radio silence between Tony and Steve, which now seemed to degenerate into absolute hostility.

Not these constant arguments and discussions about responsibility and the mistakes that had been made in the past.

Not these mutual accusations and hurtful words between each other.

And she just couldn't handle it anymore that Bucky was still being punished for something he had no control over.

"ENOUGH!!!"

A slight gust of wind spread like a sonic wave, catching everyone in the room. The rumbling echoed off the walls and all at once everything was silent.

Steve, Tony and the others looked around for the source and immediately saw who was responsible.

"Enough", Emilia repeated - a little calmer, but more desperate than before.

The chair she was sitting on a moment ago lay overturned on the floor behind her. She propped her hands on the large marble table and kept her head down.

No one said a word as her low, helpless voice seemed to fill the hall.

"Why are we fighting each other? I thought we were a team, all on the same side?"
