Sarah was truly a fabulous woman. Emilia had gotten along well with her and the friendly residents of the small village from the beginning.

She was really glad to have nature around her again after the city life. It had been a long time since she enjoyed such an abundance of flora and fauna. Wistfully she thought back to Wakanda.

Just like there, she could now finally recharge her energy and find peace here in the delta of the Mississippi River.

Even two weeks ago, when she arrived at the small port with Sam, he and Sarah told her about their small family business and some problems. When Emilia offered her financial help, the younger of the Wilson siblings vehemently refused.

Nevertheless, she insisted on helping in at least some other way. So did some old friends of the family to get the boat in need of repair running again so it could be sold.

Emilia sat a little further from the dock on this sunny early afternoon with two other villagers, focusing on one of the fishing nets.

The small works helped not only the locals to pursue fishing, but also herself.

They distracted her at least a little bit from the constant musings and negative thoughts, which increased even more in the last days. The fact that Bucky still showed no sign of life, darkened the clouds, which hung ominously over her.

"Hey, Emilia! Can you show us about those pelicans again?"

AJ came running frantically toward her as he spotted her from the dock. Like his brother, he was a little whirlwind and reminded Emilia involuntarily of Taio, who surely ran across the pastures of Wakanda just as he used to.

"Sure. Let me finish this."

She smiled as she saw his beaming face before her. AJ raced back at the same pace to his brother, who was standing by the boat and moments later also bursting into pure joy at the news.

Emilia turned her gaze back to the net and the needle in front of her. She now had an idea why Sam was wearing boxer shorts with pelicans on them. He didn't know it, but it hadn't escaped her attention that night in Madripoor, as he and Zemo lurked.

The small smirk on her lips faded as Bucky's face appeared in front of her.

It was at that moment that she opened up to him for the very first time in a long while. And it felt so right telling him all of everything. Almost everything...

So many times she considered letting him know. And yet she always came to the same conclusion: to never do it.

Who knows if she would ever get the chance.

After all, he was disappeared. Emilia didn't know how he would even react to that. Possibly he would just be relieved about it.

And if not, at the worst, she could spare him and herself the agony.

It may have been selfish, but she didn't want to go through that painful time once more.

A few hours later, Sam was emptying the back of the truck with the help of some friends. They had unloaded everything and now faced a small problem.

"How do we get it off the truck?"

He hadn't even finished saying the words when the boat engine suddenly moved as if by magic.

"You're welcome."
