Lilith:

The cool breeze blowing in the middle of the night, made the darkness strangely soothing.

The faraway ruckus of traffic was still audible. After all, New York city never sleeps.

Although, in these alleyways, it's quite different.

Here, in these narrow streets are nothing but silence. A deadly one that's too quiet, and yet, so loud.

The silence that's ignored and for those who does the opposite because of their curiosity, their fate meets the fate of a cat, killed due to their curiosity.

A toothpick between my red painted lips, and a black leather trenchcoat, with a black bowler hat on my head, I opened the car door, and got out of the car.

I picked out the phone out of my pocket, and it dinged, indicating I have received a message.

The surveillance cameras are down and everything is settled.

He is just an alleyway away from you.

A smirk took over my face. I tossed my phone back, and grabbed the leather gloves from the another pocket.

My hand traveled down to my boots and checked if the dagger was still strapped there.

Further, my hand touched the gun, strapped to my leather pants, hidden by the trench coat.
And last, I made sure to hide a combat knife in my sleeves.

After making sure I was prepared, I began walking.
My black leather ankle boots clinking against the surface, was the only sound in the serene place that could be heard.

My ears heard the laughter echoing through the alleyway, I was heading to.

I increased my pace, and stopped when my eyes spotted the sight.

There were four men, smoking and laughing at whatever they were spewing.

“Well, well, well, look who's here.” My callous voice boomed, catching their attention.

I observed their reaction. One of them whispered something into the ear of the next guy, making him chuckle.
And out of the two more men, one appeared to be confused and the other horrified.

“What's a pretty girl like you doing alone here?” The guy who whispered something, came forward.

I tilted my head in annoyance, as I realized his intention.

I knew he was just another obstacle to my intention of being here, and I had no use of him. So, I decided to remove the obstacle from my path.

As he came near me, I pulled out the combat knife out of my sleeve, and stabbed him in the throat, before he could even blink.

The blood gushed out of his throat, and his mouth, as I saw him dying by chocking on his own blood.

“Put all of your guns down. If you don't want to end up the same way.” I commanded.

“You are outnumbered, and I will kill you for killing my brother.” The second guy hissed.

A humorless laugh escaped my lips, and I pulled out the toothpick and placed it in my pocket. Since, spitting it out would have left the DNA.
