Lloyd and I hike up the hills, fighting against the incoming blizzard. The higher up we get, the harsher the winds becomes. The snowflakes pelt us painfully as we go.

Neither of us are dressed for the snow. The only things we have for warmth are our cloaks and they're not helping in the slightest. The wind blows through them and sends shivers down both of our spines. Neither of us say anything about it though, just keep going...

How far exactly, I'm not so sure.

I don't know exactly where the Hypnobrai are here, I just heard from one of the teachers at Darkly's that the tomb is here.

"How long have they been trapped?" I ask

He shrugs, "no idea, ever since the war I guess... when were the wars again?"

"How the hell should I know? I didn't pay attention in history." I say and stick my tongue out to catch snowflakes.

"How will we even get them to help us?"

"Uh... they'll be so happy we set them free they'll do our bidding?"

"That doesn't seem likely." He replies kicking a stone across the snow. It rolls up to a flatter part of the path and clackers with something metal.

"What's that?" I ask and we catch up with the stone, hearing the metal sound again. We both drop to our knees and shovel the snow away to reveal a silver trap door about 5ft by 5ft with snake carvings along the edge and a huge one across the middle.

"How did we find that so fast?!" Lloyd exclaims

"We're good at this. Let's find the other tombs and make a whole snake army. Get them to do our bidding!"

"Slow down, we still have to get in there... and see if they're even alive."

"How do we open it?" I ask and walk along the edge, looking for some way to get inside.

Lloyd goes to the other side and digs through the snow to find a metal snake sticking out of the ground.

He pushes the snake away from him and a clanking sound of gears echos around us. The snake design in the middle of the door slides apart and suddenly there's an opening in the middle of the path.

Turns out the trap door is way bigger than it appeared because the ground goes out from underneath us. We're fortunate enough to have an icy slope break our fall so we don't actually plummet to our deaths.

We slide down the base of the ice and go skidding across the floor, crashing into each other and a wall to stop us.

We groan and slowly stand back up. My footing immediately slips and I crash into Lloyd, knocking him over again.

"Linds!" He grumbles

"It's not like I did it on purpose." I laugh, helping him back up.

We look around and see it's a huge cavern covered in ice. Ice stalactites hang from the ceiling, threatening to fall and impale someone at any moment... namely us because who else is there to pierce? It's freezing in here, worse than up in the actual blizzard. Both of our teeth chatter ceaselessly.

"I don't see any snakes." I whisper, but my voice still bounces off the walls in a menacing way.

"Does that means they're all dead?"

"I don't really know if I wanna find out. I just wanna find a way out of here."

"You 2 must be out of your minds," a hissing voice says from behind us, "to venture so far away from home, little ones."
