Yep, I was right. Make us train all hours of the day.
Every morning, we're up before dawn to start the training day with a warm up and usually a meditation.
"How the fuck am I supposed to stay awake before sunrise if Uncle Wu makes us mediate. He really wants us to find our center and focus on it to help prepare for the days training, but honestly all I do is think about how fucking tired I am and hating everyone for making us wake up that early!"
Then we go into sunrise exercise which is terrible just because I'm put into a bad mood from lack of sleep.
After that we go into simply hand to hand combat. We actually spar each other during the day, but we spend the morning working on techniques of it.
Then we finally have a quick breakfast and head back to the deck to work on our elemental training. Making sure we have the best control over our individual elements and then learning on how to incorporate them together.
When Lloyd combines his fire and earth with my ice and lightning, we can create these green energy balls. It's basically all of them being used at once. They're really powerful and will be beneficial when the battle actually does happen, but right now they're super draining and leave Lloyd and I exhausted before the real training has really started.
Element training goes on for hours before we finally have another break for lunch. It's super quick though and before we know it, we're back out on the deck to spar one another.
Sometimes Lloyd and I spar each other. Sometimes it's me vs. Cole and Kai while Lloyd's up against Zane and Jay so we can test our abilities on the opposite instructors. And then we'll do it again with our main teachers. After that it's either both of us vs. all 4 of them or 1 vs. all 4. They even on occasion will have us fight Nya so we're up against her huge Samurai X suit.
Regardless, sparring is the bulk of our training and sucks up our already drained energy. Creating our elements in that moment can be really difficult especially when it's your 4th or 5th fight in a row.
After what feels like forever, we finally have another stretch right before dinner and we're free for the rest of the day after that. But by that point, we're both too exhausted mentally and physically to even consider doing anything else besides sleep.
But then the vicious cycle continues the next day. 6 of the 7 days of the week. The 7th day we're still required to mediate, morning exercise although not as early as sunrise and just an hour of sparring in the afternoon.
Needless to say, it's a lot!
The only time this schedule is altered is if the boys have a mission to attend too. But even still, Nya knows how to keep us on track without the boys so it's not much of a break even then.
Yes, even we can acknowledge the benefits of it because we're both able to use our element with ease when starting off the day. We can also both do Spinjitzu without even thinking about it now, but my point still stands. It's a lot!
It's been this way for a month now. There hasn't been a single sighting of dad since he got away with the serpentine after the Ninjaball Run. And sometimes I find myself honestly wishing he would show up just so we can really have an excuse to break our strict schedule.
Lloyd and I are both passed and exhausted all the time. The only difference is my brother is way better at controlling his anger, whereas I wear mine on my sleeve and I know I'm a complete angel to be around in those moments.
Today is scheduled like any other day, everything's been the same except for one thing: Lloyd and I can't pay attention for the life of us.
I don't know if it's because we're tireder than usual or simple not in the mood, but we can't stay focused for more than 10 seconds at this point.
