Chaos

~11 Part 2~

All of us rush off to the city to find it already in disarray. The Devourer is in the town square and crowds of people are running off in all directions.

Nya flies her Samurai X suit with Lloyd and I while the boys drive the vehicle they built with the tornado of creation. The repairs from the Devourer's spike didn't take too much effect.

Jay jumps out of the vehicle and runs over the the weirdest car I have ever seen. The giant snake looms over it and the couple in the driver seat scream and that's when I finally see that it's Jay's parents. He jumps on the hood and uses his nunchucks to shock the serpent away.

Nya controls her suit around the town square, looking for people who are still behind, making sure everyone clears the area. A car was flipped upside down sometime before we got here and the family is still trapped inside.

She lands and jumps out of the X suit and rushes to the vehicle telling Lloyd and I to stay put. She uses one of her weapons to bust the door open and helps 2 little kids out of the back seat and then the woman driving the car. Then she stays with them until she sees that they're out of harms way before returning to Lloyd and I.

The whole time my brother and I are stuck between watching Nya save the civilians and the ninja fighting the Devourer

It quickly jerks to the side and continues to slither around the square, people still screaming as they flee the area. Kai now is the one to get in his way, launching fire from his sword.

"There are still people down there." Lloyd says, pointing down

"Where?" Nya asks

"Standing behind the news van." I reply

She scoffs, "yep, of course they're gonna be the ones to stick around."

"Someone has to report the news, Nya." We say in unison

Suddenly their van is lifted up and we can see Cole standing underneath it. He turns to face the snake and chucks it at it's head cause Lloyd and I to laugh hysterically.

The Devourer roars angrily and swings his tail towards the ninja down below, but Zane shoots ice out of his shurikens and freezes it. It slams its tail against the ground a few times until the ice shatters and growls fiercely again.

It snaps it's jaw towards the boys who have mere seconds to jump out of the way, leaving the Devourer to bite at the ground instead. The reports finally take this as sign to beat it out of there. They run off and hide on the side of a nearby building so they're still able to catch the action without actually being in harms way.

The Devourer swings it's head back again and swipes towards them once more. It still only manages to hit the ground, but this time it also manages to cause the boys to lose their footing. As it lifts up to relate the action one more time, Nya flies the 3 of us in on her suit.

She pulls up a lamppost from the sidewalk and jams it into the snake's mouth so its stuck open between its fangs.

"Samurai to the rescue!" Jay shouts happily

It hisses frustratedly and tries to snap its jaw shut, but doesn't manage to do so. Although, Lloyd and I notice that Nya's not flying us out of the mouth. The Samurai suit's hands stay locked around the lamppost and we're trapped inside as it violently throws his head around.

My brother and I sit on either side of her and watch as she presses numerous controls, trying to override her system. But nothings responding and the snake continues to flail around in hopes of snapping the post apart.

"Get out of there, sis!" Kai shouts through the speaker

"I can't!" she calls back, "I'm stuck!"

The 3 of us look up to see the lamppost finally starting to give out, the metal bending through the middle. The jaws slowly get closer and closer together as Nya tries more controls. Suddenly, something slams into the back of the Devourer's head. The lamppost slits in half, part of it still lodged in its fangs. Nya's suit still refuses to respond, but at least we can't be eaten this way.
