Angele's POV
__________
Hayes walked in carrying two plates of what looked like spaghetti. He sat next to me and passed me a plate. I crinkled my nose.

"Problems?" Hayes asked swallowing a large forkful of the food.

"This is a pathetic attempt at making spaghetti sauce."

"Now you're an expert on spaghetti sauce?"

"As a matter of fact, I am."

Hayes laughed.

"I'm serious." I stated, trying to scrape the red blob off my pasta.

"Oh really, how?" He asked the disbelief evident in his voice.

"I'm Italian."

Hayes nearly choked, "Seriously?"

"Well technically my dad's Italian. So in about twenty five percent Italian." I was trying not to laugh.

"I am so sorry. I had no clue." Hayes started apologizing.

"Don't be."

"Do you want me to go get you something else?" Hayes reached for my plate.

"No this is fine." Scrapped off as much of the sauce as I could.

"You sure? They have fruit."

"I'm fine, really."

We finished our dinner in an awkward silence. The nurse came in and helped me into my boot.

"Tell me about yourself." Hayes said breaking the silence as soon as she left.

"What do you want to know?"

"Everything you're comfortable with sharing."

"Okay. My name is Angele. I have four siblings, an eleven year old brother, nine year old sister, six year old brother, and an eighteen month old sister." I stopped.

"That's it?"

"What else do you want to know?"

"I don't know! That was about your siblings more than yourself though."

"Fine. I'm fourteen and in the eighth grade. I only have one true friend--" I was inturupted.

"Aww thanks I'm flattered."

"Not you! My friend Serena back home."

"Now I'm offended."

"Poor baby. Is that all you want?"

"No. You may continue."

"I've lived in five different states, six cities. That's about it."

"Not good enough."

"Hayes, I don't know anything else!"

"You don't know anything else about yourself? I ind that hard to believe. What do you do for fun?"

"I usually jam to music and write."

"What else."

"I read, a lot. I also play basketball."

"Cool anything else?"

"Nope."

"See, was that so hard?"

"It was absolute torture." I grinned.

"To bad it was supposed to be fun."

"Now it's your turn."

"Piece of cake. My first name is Benjamin but I decided at a pretty young age to go by my middle name. I have two older brothers and a younger half sister. I am from Davidson, North Carolina. I came into the work in June eighth two thousand--"

"Dramatic much?"

"Hey, I'm talking! Anyways, I was held back a grade so I'm in eighth as well, and I belong to a touring group called MagCon." (Yes I know he's no longer a part of it)

"Cool."

"Please don't treat me any different though."

"Why would I?"

"Well, everyone else does."

"Why?" I asked.

"I'm in MagCon."

"So..."

"I'm considered "famous"."

"You're still just a person."

"Finally someone understands!" Hayes exclaimed.

"Yeah, I totally do. But can is till get a photo and authograph? I wanna show all the girls at school that I'm at camp with the Hayes." I asked like a fan girl pulling out my phone.

"This is what I was afraid of!" Hayes exclaimed. He stood and pulled his hair bak in frustration.

I grinned, "Dude, I'm kidding."

"What?"

"I'm kidding. I don't even know what MagCon is."

"I hate you."

"No you don't."

"You're right but I'm close to it."

We grabbed our dishes and walked out of the cabin.
