Natasha:
"Shit, how am I going to tell Nat?"

"Tell me what?" I say walking into the medbay.

Both Tony and Bruce turned to face me. "Please just tell me." I say with no emotion in my voice.

Bruce reached over and grabbed Y/N's results on passed them over to me. I took them from him and began reading.

I took a deep breath and looked back up at Bruce. "Y/N has Leukaemia? I say, my vision going blurry as tears fill my eyes.

"I'm so sorry Nat." He says. "What stage is it?" I ask. "It's at a stage 4. Still treatable, but it's not going to be easy." Bruce replies. "When will the treatment start?" I ask, my heart feeling like it's in my throat. "As soon as possible, preferably tomorrow. It's seems to be spreading fast so the sooner the better." He told me.

"She'll need 6 months of chemotherapy and then 3 months of radiation therapy, as well as a bone marrow transplant." Bruce continued. I nodded and mumbled "okay."

"We'll be here for you Nat, and Y/N. Whatever you need." Tony says sympathetically. "Thank you." I send him a sad smile.

Now I have to break the news to Y/N. She's still asleep at the moment so I'll wait until she's woken up to tell her.

I go up to my room to look for every possible solution and medication that could help Y/N. 10 minutes later I hear a knock on my door. "Come in." I say. It was Wanda.

"Hey, I heard about Y/N. How are you doing?" She asks. "I've been better." I purse my lips. "But she'll get through it right?"

"I can't promise anything Nat, but I believe she will." She says honestly.

It's midday now and Y/N woke up about an hour ago, I haven't told her just yet. I didn't want to hit her with the news straight away, but I'm on my way to her room now.

"Hi honey, can I come in?" I ask softly as I knock on her slightly open door. "Yeah."

I walk over and sit next to her on the bed. "So Bruce get the blood test results back." I start. "And?"

"Sweetheart, you have stage 4 leukaemia." I say taking a deep breath. "Oh." She mumbles. "Well that sucks." She chuckles awkwardly, trying to lighten the mood. "Yeah, yeah it does. Big time. But we're gonna get through this together and I'm going to be with you every step of the way." I assure her. "Okay." She smiles sadly as she hugs me and cries silently.

"Are you okay?" Y/N asks me. God I love this kid. She's sick and she asking if I'm okay.

"I will be." I assure her.

It's been 4 weeks now and Y/N has had her first 2 chemotherapy treatments. Everything seems to be going well so far.

I was sitting on the sofa watching The Office when Y/N came in and sat beside me. It looked like she had just had a shower because her hair was wet.

"Hi sweetheart, how are you feeling." I ask softly, pulling her into hug. "I'm okay." She smiles sadly.

She rests her head on my lap and watches TV with me. "My hair started falling out." She speaks up, still looking at the TV. I look down at her and see the sad expression on her face. "Oh Y/N, I'm so sorry." I cooed, placing a kiss on her head.

"Can you braid it? Before I lose it all?" She ask. "Of course."

...and that's what we did every night until all her hair had fallen out.

Y/N finished her chemotherapy treatment yesterday and it worked. She's so weak at the moment though. She's been in the hospital bed for the last 72 hours and has only gotten up to use the bathroom. Most of the time she's been sleeping.

Bruce set up a bed for me next to Y/N's so those nights Y/N had to stay in the medbay, I could be with her.

A few weeks ago, Y/N's heart stopped completely and it was the scariest thing I'd ever experienced in my life. I lost my daughter for a few minutes and I felt like I died with her.

I'm so thankful that's she came back to us and that the chemotherapy worked.

•••

3 months later, Y/N had finished all her cancer treatment. She beat it.

Granted she was absolutely exhausted physical and mentally, the scariest part was over.

There were so many moments where we all thought we'd lose her and I think she thought she was going to die too. I could tell by the way she would talk to me. She never said it directly, but it was implied on a weekly basis.

•••

Another 9 months passed and her hair had grown back quite fast. It was up to her shoulders now.

Y/N's 16th birthday is next week and Tony told her he was going to throw her a massive party but Y/N said she didn't want one but Tony continued to insist until Y/N pulled the 'I had cancer' card and he caved.

She told us that she just wanted to spend her birthday playing party games and watching chick flicks with her family and a few friends from school.

Given her 15th birthday was spent in a hospital bed, she was really looking forward to it.

A/N: hello again :) here's part 2
I didn't quite know how to end this so I hope it was okay 🤷🏻‍♀️ I was originally gonna kill off Y/N but didn't feel causing Natasha any more pain so I decided not too...

Anyways, I hope you have a great day x
