𝗜𝗡 𝗕𝗘𝗧𝗪𝗘𝗘𝗡 𝗢𝗙 𝗧𝗘𝗖𝗛𝗡𝗢 𝗔𝗡𝗗 𝗞𝗘𝗥𝗘𝗦 𝗪𝗔𝗦 𝗧𝗢𝗠𝗠𝗬, the blond boy didn't stop begging for his nod so he could sleep in his room tonight.

"Sorry man, it's just the monsters lurking everywhere, you know? I tried to sleep in my home but there are always monsters nearby. Fuck the monsters nearby, dude! Let me have my beauty sleep!"

"That is very unfortunate, Tom." she tried to sympathize with him since the pig wouldn't utter even a word.

"Why, thank you for your pity on me, Keres. Wait, I don't think I've seen you in a while after the Manberg vs Pogtopia war. Where have you been?"

"I turned into a ghost after the war. I got revived a few days after, though. And now I'm here as a human again."

"Whoa, wait," he stared at her. "So you're saying you actually became a white lady?"

The boy erupted into a fit of laughter after putting out his words. Technoblade was covering his ears with his pillow at this point.

"Techno, what's up with you, dude? Why are you all silent and moody?" he continuously tapped his shoulders.

"Nothing much, except for the fact that you interrupted something." he sneered. "Why couldn't you just sleep with Ranboo or Tubbo or... cereal?"

"You mean Sereia?" the boy laughed once more but then stopped when he remembered. "No, uh, we uh... she kind of hates me right now."

"I wonder why." Techno murmured under his breath.

"Are you comfortable there, Tom?" Keres asked kindly, discerning that he was squeezed to fit in gap in the middle of her and the man.

"Despite this being a king sized bed, I am far close to being cozy, white lady Keres. The Blade here is a- you know... a big fella, if you know what I'm talking about." he lowered his tone as if Techno couldn't hear him, making her giggle.

"Well, Theseus, to your delight, there is a guest room along the hallway." he stated.

"What?! Then why didn't you say so, big man?!" he immediately got up from the bed. "I will enjoy my stay and make myself at home! Thank you for the offer!"

Keres finally turned to face Technoblade when the boy closed the door. "You're right."

"About what?" he scooted closer to her after locking the door.

"That he's enough to piss us both off. Maybe living in Manberg for five years wasn't as bad."

"I told you." they both laughed, the sound of laughter fading away into the silence. "Alright, now that he's gone... where were we?"

Sheepish grins were plastered on both of their faces as he pressed his forehead against hers. When he was about to lean in to kiss her lips, Keres kissed his nose.

"Good night, Techno." she turned around and covered herself with the thick blanket to sleep.

"What?" he raised a questioning brow, receiving no response. After a long time of staring at her dozy state, he realized she must've been tired from her travel so he proceeded to sleep as well. "Oh... good night, Keres."

Little did he know, she was wide awake after that, staring at the wall. The topic about marriage was never opened up again afterwards.

The next morning, the woman woke up with a feeling of intimate arms wrapped around her. Glancing over her shoulder, she saw Techno behind her who was sleeping soundlessly.

She found it adorable how he snored like a pig.

Since it was still early in the morning, she moved his arms off her, careful not to wake him up. Keres searched for Harper around the cabin, finding her asleep on her mini bed.

When the black cat sensed her presence, she instantly woke up as they shared cuddles. Harper's steps appeared slow and fragile now.

"GREETINGS, KERES!" Tommy's boomed from the kitchen.

The woman flinched at the sound of the boy's orotund voice, almost forgetting that he was staying inside the cabin. "Morning, Tommy."

Technoblade got out of his room in a stir, wondering why he was left alone the moment he woke up. He then found Keres in the living room with her cat, giving her a small wave while rubbing his eyes.

"The potatoes are rotten, by the way." Tommy pointed at the food on the counter. "I was gonna eat them but it smelled really noxious."

Keres and Techno looked at each other with an awkward stare, laughing it off in the end which made the boy confused.

"It seems I better get going, then! Thank you for letting me stay, big man and Keres!" the blond announced, departing from the cabin.

"How's Harper while I wasn't around?" she stroked the cat's fur.

"She's gotten very feeble, actually. But she's alright. It's normal for a cat that's more than ten years now."

She remembered her first time meeting the black cat when they were little. It happened here in the same cabin, by the fireplace, where the girl heard the sound of meowing.

Techno presented the kitten inside of a box, in which he thought that Harper was a male. They both frowned to see their feline friend getting older.

"How were you while I wasn't around?" he asked.

"I wasn't as busy as you are, that's for sure." she said as he sat beside her on the couch. "Funny story, actually, I almost... died."

"W-what?!" his heart dropped. "Why?"

"That night during your execution, I didn't notice someone stabbed me from behind, and... hey! I'm fine now, see? Don't worry!" she reassured his worried expression. "Jada saved me. You know, Dream's friend?"

"The time traveler?" he inquired, still motionless. "How?"

"She used this sort of... time book. To undo the situation. And just like that, it was as if I was never dying. It was like magic." sighed Keres. "I owe her a lot."

Techno hummed in response, avoiding to think what could've happened if Jada wasn't with her at the time. Just as he was about to say something to comfort her, someone had knocked on the door.

"Come in," he stated, holding Keres' hand when he heeded her concerned look.

"Hey, Techno, they're asking when does the meeting start- oh, hi, Keres!" a pink haired girl entered the cabin and gave her a polite smile.

The woman squinted her eyes at the young girl for a while, believing she had recognized her before. She looks so... wistful.

"Keres, this is Nihachu," Techno gestured. "Nihachu, this is-"

"Oh! Nihachu! I knew it! Hello!"

"Just call me Niki, please." she insisted with a shy laugh, smiling at their intertwined hands. "It's a pleasure to finally meet you!"

"You too! I think I've seen you before... were you by any chance blonde before?" Keres tilted her head.

"Y-yes! You know who I am?!" she gasped, her face turning pink as the woman nodded proudly.

Niki had no words for the gratitude she felt but then remembered why she was here. "Anyways, they're asking when the first Syndicate meeting will start?"

"What's the Syndicate?" Keres looked back at Techno.
