𝗔𝗦 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗖𝗘𝗟𝗘𝗕𝗥𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡 𝗚𝗥𝗔𝗗𝗨𝗔𝗟𝗟𝗬 𝗖𝗔𝗠𝗘 𝗧𝗢 𝗔𝗡 𝗘𝗡𝗗, Keres leaded Techno to her room, darkness dulled outside for the moon's turn to glow the server.
"Can I open my eyes now?"
"No! No peeking!" Keres stated while he sat on the edge of the bed with his eyes closed.
Though Technoblade couldn't help it. He opened one of his eyes a bit, seeing the woman take something out from her desk before shutting his eyes again. "At least give me a hint on what it is?"
"Hmm..." she did a little excited dance and sat beside him holding the gift. "It's something that you'll like. I mean, I hope you will."
"Is it you, then? Like, a mini you or something?" he heard her scoff at his guess.
"Well, except this one you can keep forever." she brushed off how melancholic it sounded. "Okay, you can open your eyes now."
Slowly, Techno opened his eyes and gaped at the gift box. She urged him to open it, so, unwrapping the ribbon, his mouth parted in wonderment.
It was a snow globe.
Just like how anyone else would hold a snow globe, he shook it for the snowflakes inside to flit around the sphere. Soon, he found out that there were a mini boy and girl and two animals laying on the sleet.
When he looked more closely, he noticed that the boy had short pink hair and the girl was fully white. Techno recognized that it was their younger selves. The two animals were a polar bear and a black cat: Steve and Harper.
"Do you like it?" she waited eagerly for him to say something.
The man couldn't find the words. He was powerless to take his eyes off of the big bear, thinking about how long it had been since Steve was gone.
Steve was a big part of his childhood, and this gift was now a nostalgic reminder of how much they've grown.
"I'll go ahead and put this in my room."
"Oh, okay! Good night!" she watched as he left the room without any other word, smile fading. Keres wasn't able to comprehend his complex expression.
However, after a long moment, her head shot up when the door opened. It was Techno wearing his royal red cape, this time he maintained eye contact with her.
"Thank you for the gift." he said sincerely, and her face lit up again. "Do you still want to take that walk? Without surprises this time. Just us."
"But it's already dark outside?"
"I'd still enjoy your company even if the whole world's black." he said. "Plus, it would be the perfect time to take a walk by the ocean."
"The ocean?" Keres narrowed her eyebrows at him in deep thought. "Alright, but if you're gonna push me in the water, I'm gonna hate you forever."
"I wouldn't want to risk that." he grinned, holding out his hand for her to take.
A wide, vast, limitless expense the ocean is. Night time truly was the best time to admire it; clashing of velvet waves gave a peaceful feeling which were clearer to hear rather than during the noisy day.
"So, how was your birthday?" she asked, walking alongside him with their arms linked.
"It was nice." he acknowledged, containing his chuckle. "Still can't believe you got jealous of Puffy."
