Making an Impact

*Continuation from last chapter*

We dropped Skylar off and headed to the airport. Once we landed in Orlando we got an Uber and headed over to the hotel. We met up with Alex for lunch on his way down from Georgia.

Alex: Thanks again for inviting me to the party tonight.

Travis: Anytime bud, just a heads up there's going to be a lot of wrestlers there so don't be a mark and embarrass me.

Zelina: Travis, be nice.

Alex: He's right I do tend to get a little starstruck sometimes. I marked out at AEW for Tommy and kind of started the whole thing with him and Travis.

Travis: Hey man shit happens. In all honesty that may have been a good thing.

Alex: Really?

Travis: Yeah, I think we would have gotten stuck on Dark or Rampage had we stuck around longer.

Zelina: Enough talk about work, I'm excited for tonight.

Alex: Me too.

Travis: It's going to be a lot of fun.

Zelina: Alex do you have a girlfriend?

Alex: No, I've been single for a while. I had a bad break up a 2 years ago and I've just been staying to myself.

Travis: Sometimes waiting pays off. It's better to wait and be happy than to rush and be miserable.

Alex: Who knows maybe I'll meet my future wife at this party.

Travis: That's the spirit.

*Later in the night*

We arrived at Gionna's house and there's a lot of people here. Some of them I've never met before. We found Gionna and I gave her the present that we got her and then she introduced us to some of the people there.

Liv: Guys, this is my friend Chelsea and her fiancé Matt.

Travis: Nice to meet you guys.

We were talking with Matt and Chelsea for a while and while we were talking an opportunity arose.

Matt: Are you guys working anywhere right now?

Travis: We were until we got fired from AEW.

Alex: It sucks because we've always wanted to make it and it didn't quite work out in our favor.

Matt: I know the feeling when WWE let me go, I was a little upset but now things couldn't have been going any better. Have you ever thought about trying Impact?

Alex: We were actually talking about giving them a call.

Matt: Have you ever worked as a heel?

Alex: I haven't

Travis: I have and I love it.

Matt: Brian and I are in the middle of a rivalry and they're wanting us to form as a team again. If you guys could pull off the heel work maybe we could give it a try.

Travis: Dude that would be awesome.

Matt: Let me talk to the bookers and I'll let you know.

Matt and I exchanged numbers. The party was pretty fun a little later on I was walking with Thea and saw Alex talking to Alexa Bliss. The two seemed to be hitting it off very well and she was laughing a lot, I saw her hand him her phone and then he handed it back.

Travis: Oh shit I think he just got her number.

Zelina: Okay Alex, I see you.

He started walking in our direction and when he came back he had a big smile on his face.
