Pineapple pizza
Papa Rick's Truffles
A high school pool
Underwater lights
Luminous eyes
Lollies sucked dry
A sunshine jacket
Rainbow painted boots
A beautiful boy
Untouched by time
Standing still
In a current of tadpoles
Newspaper dreams
Fort covered smiles
A blue moon
Dancing with a friend
Holding each other close
Laughter shared quick
A kiss on the cheek
Tears falling from his head
A lonely boy
Alone again
Time left him alone
But his friends were always gone
By the time he got home
They were never as lucky
And they were never just friends
His heart was breaking
Seeping through his boots
Soaking into the ground
Taking its full
Of all his sorrows
Avocado toast
Sweet tasting wine
Alone with his thoughts
Monochrome boots
The lonely boy
Always alone
Tears falling from his head
A lonely boy
Alone again
