Rain splattered windows
Piano conforming silences
Cleaning alight with laughter
All these beautiful things
That makes you laugh
With a wanderlust gaze
And a fast pounding heart
But
Before anything else I see
You are the only thing holding me
With those smiles you share
When you see something you like
You shine brighter
Then all those sceneries
Our secret hideaways
Matters more to me
Every time you say hi
I fall in love

With your innocent joy
With your crazy gestures
With your tearful face
I fall in love with everything you are
And nothing all at once
My gaze never straying
Heart pounding so fast
I drink cactus juice
With a smile
It doesn't matter how much I care
I'm just a friend

Every time you speak of him
With a love stricken face
Eyes shining brighter
Then they ever would if it had been me
I drink cactus juice
To forgo the pain
That your heartbreak brings me
Listening to you complain
About a boy
My heart pounds
Whenever you call me baby

Your father and I play cards
