Thistle Claws

Okay... lemme just say that the song Flamingo by Kero Kero Bonito low-key slaps.

Thistle Claws:

Meow Hiss Thump

Cats fall down
On your head
Shield your face
As it tears through your pace

Take cover everybody

Over bridges
Under streets
In cafes
Anywhere make haste

It must be a fluke
That the sky has opened up
On the day
That you made this mistake

Spewing cats out
On everything you are
This feud of yours
Occupying these thoughts

Meow Hiss Thump

A tornado
Messing up
Your great big smile
Such a waste

You take a little break
Watching those cats
Wrecking your house
That you built

You cover your face
Hiding from those cats
Compartmentalising
The sad thoughts they bring

A little tribute
Left in you
As they walked out the door

Meow Hiss Thump

Another cat falls on your head
Covering you up
In the scratches of the sweetest kind
This is just a little thistle claw
