As you carry your groceries
Up your steep staircase

Falling in love
With the normality
That being by your side
Brings into my days

Sharing those moments
Hidden in the mundane
So I push those thoughts aside

My defence slips

Sharing ice creams
Under rose petal skies

Pulling me up
Keeping us sane
