On a rainy afternoon, Smokescreen was driving along the desert roads on a patrol.  It's been a few days since he joined Team Prime.  He was already getting along with Bumblebee, Dodger, Roadflare and Gulfstream.  Arcee still needed some time to warm up to him.  Bulkhead however still felt like he's been reduced to a secondary position, despite the other's reassurance.

During the last few days, the Autobots used the Composite Holoform Generator to give Smokescreen a synthetic human holoform of his own.  It allowed him to hang out more with Jack, Miko, Thomas and Raf.  After a few minutes of driving, he soon saw Dodger and Roadflare ahead of him.  They were returning to base after another date.  He sped up to them to greet them.

Smokescreen: Dodge.  Flare.  Whats up?

Dodger: Not much kid.

Roadflare: Enjoying your time on Earth?

Smokescreen: Oh yeah!  Lots of room to drive around here.  Not fond of the rain though.

Dodger: It happens.

The three Autobots soon came to the base.  They drove in and transformed.  They were greeted with the sight of Bulkhead slumped on the floor.  Ratchet was trying to help him get back into fighting shape.

Ratchet: Bulkhead, you really mustn't allow yourself to decline.

Miko: Yeah, Bulk.  You got to pull yourself out of this funk.

Bulkhead: What's the use?

Ratchet: You need to regain your strength.  The time will come when...

Bulkhead: When what? When all of you will need an assist!? Isn't that what the new guys for!?

Dodger and Roadflare looked on as Smokescreen went over to grab the Apax Armor.

Smokescreen: Hey, Bulkhead, I've been thinking.  With your injury and all, you might want to take advantage of the armor I snagged from Starscream.  Instant muscle suit!

Bulkhead: You think I need a crutch?!

Enraged, Bulkhead brought out his mase and swatted the Apax Armor out of Smokescreen's hands.  Only for the armor to slam into one of Ratchet's computers, making it go haywire.  Again.

Ratchet: Bulkhead!  I needed that!

Bulkhead just growled and walked away

Bulkhead: Out of my way, rookie!

Smokescreen: He can walk!

Bulkhead picked up the lobbing ball and started working out with it, kind of like what humans do with medicine balls.

Smokescreen: Looks like he's fit for duty to me.

Ratchet just grumbled and walked away, he has fix something Bulkhead broke.  Again.

Dodger: Hey Smokey, let's give Bulk some space.

Smokescreen: Uh, sure thing Ranger.

Smokescreen looked at Miko before he followed Dodger, she give him a thumbs up, but her attention to jack and Thomas, who were talking on the phone with Raf.

Jack: You've got to be kidding, Raf.  You of all people grounded??

Raf: Big time.  I misplaced some homework and blew a couple of tests.

Miko: Translation: "A-" instead of "A.

Thomas: Whats the deal Raf?  Mikos usually the one that gets grounded.

Miko: Hey!

Raf: I'm probably spending too much time at the base. (Raf's mom: Rafael, I hope you're not on the phone in there.) No mama!  Say hi to Bee for me.  Until I improve these grades, I'm off team Prime.
