Astrid's P. O. V:I ride behind Merlin, in the middle, my group and I galloping through the sunlit forest.
When we stop in a clearing for the night, Percival comes over to Bellatrix and holds his hands out to me, in a silent offer to help me off the mare's back. Normally, I'd refuse, but I decide to let him help me this time.
I brace my hands on the muscular Knight's shoulders and he grips my waist as he slides me off the mare's back. When my booted feet touch the ground, I smile appreciatively at Percival. He returns it with his own before walking off.
I see Merlin gazing after him as he heads to Mithian's grey horse to help her off. The dark haired Princess swings her left leg over the gelding's neck and braces her gloved hands on Merlin's shoulders as he grips her waist, before sliding Mithian off and onto the ground.
Merlin pauses, however, upon seeing something on Mithian's right wrist, her sleeve having pulled up as she'd gotten off. Furrowing my brows, I go over to them and gaze down at Mithian's wrist. There's a redness wrapping around her fair skin.
Flicking my gaze up to her, I ask, "Where did you get that?"
"I... I was bound by Odin's men. Before I escaped," She says as Hilda comes over and Merlin releases her wrist, fixing his brown jacket.
I apologise, "I'm sorry. I didn't realise that."
"It's a very painful memory. I'm sure she'd rather not dwell on it," Hilda says.
