Mina and Ojiro were next, "Make sure you stick with your group. I don't care if you like them or not." He turned towards Katsuki and gave a pointed glare, as my boyfriend looked about ready to blow Mineta up.
He sent out the next group, while my group grabbed last-minute items and the medical supplies provided.
"Go directly to the gym, if you make any detours, I will find out," Dad reminded us once again as we lined up at the door, "Group three, go."
Why groups of all things? And how could knowing less about our teammates be good? It honestly boggled my mind, but each group had been going in pretty quickly after one another, maybe this was easy.
"Do you guys know what we are doing, kero?" Tsu asked, tapping her chin in question. I shook my head, fiddling with my fingers in anticipation.
Walking down the quiet hallway was weird, as Kaminari was unusually quiet, likely not as talkative since he didn't know us as well as some of the boys in the class, while Tsu ribbited every once in a while.
Entering the end room, we were met with a dark void. Lights out and silent as a soundproofed studio. I felt my heart clench in paranoia. I didn't exactly like dark rooms I didn't know my way around. Or rather, I didn't like being alone in a completely dark room with someone potentially dangerous. The last time that happened, I was trying to save Eri, and it didn't exactly make me feel good on the inside.
"Do we have to go in?" I asked, the other two turning to me in confusion at my sudden apprehension.
"What's wrong Lily? Kero." Tsu asked.
I shook my head, not ready to divulge that information to the rest of my classmates. It wasn't that I didn't trust them, it's that I couldn't trust myself to not give away information that wasn't mine to share.
"Oh, okay. If you need me, I'm here. Kero." Tsu tilted her head, and I couldn't help feeling guilty. Yet, I knew that was just my guilty subconscious talking. "We have to go in. Kaminari, could you light the way?"
"Yeah," He agreed, holding a hand out sparking and sizzling as he began to walk into the dark. "So far I'm not seeing anything in here, maybe the assignment isn't something physical?" I could hear the hopeful tint in his tone.
"Maybe not, but then it's either emotional or metaphysical. I don't know which is worse." I added.
"Emotional. Kero. Heroes have to deal with the repression of emotions a lot. When I was at my work-study, some things went wrong and nobody was able to process the event until it was over." Tsu explained. I nodded, agreeing that emotional manipulation was a huge part of being a hero, as much as it sucks.
Often heroes couldn't mourn a loss until the situation was dealt with, and even then, they couldn't show it publicly without getting on the news or having their privacy invaded by the press. It was unfair, and that is an understatement, but it was a reality to lots of people.
Heroes couldn't show fear when they were scared, or else they could cause a panic. They couldn't show close affection to any friends, without weirdos shipping them when the relationship between the two was completely platonic.
Practically any move they made was monitored and recorded these days, and it just wasn't fair.
"Come on, let's go." Kaminari gestured to the dark room before walking away. Tsu gave me a small smile before grabbing my hand, following after the blondie and pulling me along.
I quietly thanked Tsu, knowing she didn't have to hold my hand but was doing so out of the good of her heart. She simply squeezed my hand and led me further into the dark.
Kaminari rounded a pillar that seemed to stretch upward into the ceiling, disappearing behind briefly.
But, when Tsu and I went to join him, we turned to find that the lighting-haired boy was missing, his light out, leaving us completely in the pitch black room. "Kaminari?" Tsu whispered, her voice wavering. "Kaminari where are you?"
With no response back I felt chills run down my spine. Something was wrong. "Tsu, what do we do?" My voice raised an octave, "The doors closed behind us."
"I don't know. Kero. I wish I did." Her grip on my hand tightened even more and while it hurt, I knew she was only trying to find comfort.
Kaminari's POV (A/N: Woah... spooky.)
I landed with a thump before blinding lights flashed making me shut my eyes tight. In front of me... was a robot version of Mr. Aizawa, and All Might. One looking disappointed and the other quite worried.
The robot of Mr. Aizawa tilts his head. Grinning at me as I tried to figure out what was going on, before opening his mouth.
"I lied."
