Augustine Claire takes on New Orleans with the rest of the Mikaelson family. The instant she gets there, she's pulled in many directions. The most important of all...she's going to be a mother. Klaus is going to be a father. It's a discovery that takes everyone by surprise. What was thought to be impossible is entirely possible, and the reality now.

Life in New Orleans is not at all what she envisioned it to be. Witches are getting killed for practicing magic in the Quarter. While August may have a free pass since she's not a local and she's with Klaus, it still leaves her shocked that someone could be so cruel for using their powers.

August finds more about her family and realizes, they're not so far after all. She encounters another sister she never knew she had.

New Orleans drastically changes the course of August's life. For the worst or better? That's still up for debate.
