Reader is gender neutral as always and i need to feed you simps something so here are the crumbs-

You didn't trust Affogato one bit.

He was all smiles, eager to please and even eager to provide. From the moment he stepped into the palace, he had won everyone over with his charming words and pretty face.

But you knew something was wrong with him. A bitter feeling in your gut told you he was far more than what he showed on the surface, and it didn't feel good at all..

Everyone else thought you were just being paranoid or perhaps envious that he was the king's right hand man..maybe you were but at the same time. No matter how much you tell yourself that, the feeling that planted itself into you always sprouts back.

"Y/n?" A familiar female voice calls out, it was your best friend and trusted ally; Caramel Arrow. She was always someone you could rely on whether that be work related or just gossip, "yes?" You quietly responded. The two of you also harbor feelings of suspicion against affogato so it was no surprise when the two of you would talk about the uneasiness he has.

"You seem a little tired today as well, you should have the rest of the day off." The female watcher worries to which you shrug off, "I will be alright but thank you caramel arrow." You offered a small smile and embraced your best friend to which she hugs back but unbeknownst to you, a certain coffee ice cream royal advisor had watched your whole interaction with your friend. Glaring at the First Watcher, why did she have your attention? Why not him? And so...

"Caramel Arrow cookie. Heed my words. You need not return. Your spirit has always been one with the wilds, akin to the deer roaming the frostridden mountains."

You remembered that day so clearly.. Your best friend being banished from the black citadel under false accusations was like a part of you being ripped away. Why did it happen so quickly? As much as you wished to have stood up and defended your friend, something told you to stay put..like a dog. Perhaps it was Caramel Arrow's worried glance at you? Or maybe it was the amount of cookies that attended; whatever the cause was, you were unable to defend the cookie you called your best friend.

On the other hand, Affogato seemed quite chipper and dare you say, happier after the First Watcher's banishment. He seemed to always want to be around you now and takes every possible chance to be with you, tsk; as if you would let this cookie anywhere near you, he is nothing more than a lying snake who wrongfully accused your best friend..but for what reason?

"Y/n, you're spacing off again, neglecting your duties again I see?~" A playful male's voice rang out from behind you to which you instinctively tried to hit the cookie that startled you only to miss and see the cookie you detested, Affogato cookie. Standing there with his charming smile accompanied by an amused glint in his eyes, "what do you want?" you hissed out only for the male to chuckle in amusement.

"Relax my dear y/n, all I ask for is quite simple~."

You kept your guard up just in case, who knows what this conniving snake wants! Maybe he wanted you to steal or-

"Perhaps it's a bit much but I would like you"

What did he say!? Is he out of his mind?! "Me?" You only responded to which Affogato nodded and moved closer to you, the wall  behind you prevented you from moving away from him.. So many questions ran through your head, why you? What is he going to do? And..why?

Affogato smiled at your conflicted look, he thought you looked weak seeing you backed against a wall, you're a watcher for christ's sake. Weak, pitiful, and most importantly; adorable. Pinning you to the wall, you were so vulnerable and fragile, as if one touch could shatter you and your hopes.

"Your smile, loyalty, and ambition amazes me, it pained me to see that go to waste with caramel arrow."

Wait..was he? Did he set caramel arrow? Of course he did, he outright said it himself right here. "You..what do you mean?" Was all you could ask.
"Do I need to say it? Oh how you embarrass me my dear y/n but I suppose I will say it. I love you, my dearest y/n and you will be by my side when I rule over this kingdom."
You felt your face heat up..was it from embarrassment or anger? Who knows but you did feel angry at the fact he got rid of your best friend for his obsession with you. Whatever it was, you felt sick; sick that this cookie took advantage of the king and his servants. Words refused to come out as you were too disgusted and in shock to say anything to this..this twisted man.

Soft lips were then met with yours as your thoughts began to pile up. The lingering taste of sweet and bitterness clashed against each other on your lips as Affogato pulled away to kiss your cheeks and forehead before giving one last kiss on the lips. You wanted to leave..but then you felt drowsy. Swaying a bit and falling forwards into Affogato's arms but before falling into a deep slumber, you heard his last words to you..

"Sweet dreams my dear, perhaps one day you will see my ways."
