Chapter 8: Volcanoes and Death

By the time you got back to your hut a nap wouldn't even be worth it, the sun was already coming up. You decided it would be better to just wait in the Clubhouse for the others. Hiccup and Viggo were already there and a few moments later so was everyone else. They were all shocked to see Viggo and Astrid looked like she was going to kill him right then and there. 

Everyone was gathered around the table discussing what they were going to do while you sitting in the corner tinkering with the Dragon Eye. The Dragon Eye was sitting on a small table and you sat on a chair next to it. You pulled out a Dragon Eye lens from your pocket and examined it, you found a while back when you were traveling. Of course, you didn't tell Hiccup about it, because you were his older sister and you didn't have to tell him anything. You were so focused on the lens you didn't notice Viggo looking over your shoulder watching.

"I thought you were going to take a nap"

You jumped and dropped the lens when you heard Viggo's voice behind you. 

"Thor, you don't just walk up behind people like that!" You picked up the lens and blew off any dirt. 

"Apologies, I don't suppose that's a Dragon Eye lens you have there?" Viggo sat down on a chair next to yours and looked at the lens in your hand. 

"Yeah, it is. Found it a few months ago on an island, but I never got to use it with the Dragon Eye so I don't know what's on it." You ran your finger over the markings on the lens, they were different from the other lens' Hiccup had. Before Viggo could say any more, Hiccup asked for Viggo to follow him. He left and you decided you would look at the lens later in your hut. 

You arrived in the stables the same time the twins did. Viggo had been thrown in a cell and he wasn't to happy about it. The twins said that there were multiple ships on the way and that's when Hiccup and Astrid took off. Before they did, the twins were given the task to watch Viggo. Oh, he's going to love that. He gave you a pleading look for you not to leave him with the twins. You mouthed the words 'Good luck' with a wave and a evil smile before following after your brother.

You had been scouting most of the day and now night had fallen. The Riders were gathered in the Dome and Hiccup was explaining the plan. You were to take out the first wave of ships with Ruff, Tuff, and Heather. This was going to be a 'fun' next couple of days.

It was the next morning when the attack started. The electric boulders rained from the sky and  you ran to your hut followed by Navjeev. He ran to a corner and you curled up next to him. The hut shook with each blast no matter where it hit. Navjeev curled his tail around you and layed his head on the floor. The shaking stopped and you were finally able to leave your hut. As soon as you left your hut the smell of smoke filled your nose, almost everything was on fire. You flew down to the Clubhouse to meet up with the others and they all seemed fine. That's good at least. 

"Okay, I don't know about any of you, but there's no way I'm sitting through that again. We have dragons. We should be out there sinking those ships" Snotlout entered the Clubhouse.

"The fire isn't coming from the ships, it's coming from the Shellfire." Hiccup explained. 

"I hate to be the one to say I told you so, but.." Viggo walked up beside Snotlout. How on earth did he get out?

"How did you get out?" Hiccup asked for you. 

"My friend, Snotlout, was good enough to allow me to use the facilities" Viggo put an arm around Snotlout. Snotlout just smiled awkwardly.
