A slight breeze swept across your face as the cold, night air nipped at your skin. You flew through the fog, hearing wing beats of fellow riders and the voices of the Berkins on ships below you. After emerging from the fog, you were able to see everyone around you as well as The Edge in the distance. It had really come down to fighting the Flyers for The Edge and everyone there and prepared to fight, all except Hiccup. He was still trying to find another way but Stoick already decided to attack without him.

You looked at Astrid who flew closely beside you. She gave you a determined nod and you gave one to her in return. Navjeev let out an uneasy growl, you gave him a pat on the neck which didn't seem to help ease him much after seeing what was flying in the distance. Your heart pounded against your chest as the what seemed to be hundreds of Flyers took off into the night sky from The Edge. Your hands tightened around the handles of the saddle as you narrowed your eyes at the Flyers. No way were you going to let these assholes win.

Fire scattered across the sky, flying at both the Riders and the Flyers. With the dark atmosphere the bright fires flying everywhere slightly hurt your eyes, but it wasn't enough to bother you to much. Navjeev flew at great speeds towards a Singetail with fire glowing in his mouth. The Flyer whipped the dragon, making it fire at you. Navjeev quickly flew up and dodged the fire. The Singetail stopped, confused to where you went after not being able to see the direction you went past its large blast when it shot. Navjeev quickly shot the rider off the dragon's back while it was still confused. The Singetail yelped, startled, before flying away with the rider falling into the ocean below with a satisfying splash.

You grinned triumphantly before more fire shot at you. You pulled Navjeev into a dive to dodge the fire coming at you. The Singetail followed hot on your tail with fire emitting from the mouth. Navjeev quickly whipped around toward them and you jumped out of the saddle and onto the back of the Singetail. You harshly kicked the rider off the dragon before they could have a chance to comprehend what happened. The Singetail roared as you ran towards the rear of the dragon and jumped into the saddle on Navjeev's back.

Viggo watched from the Clubhouse with slight concern on his face as he watched another Singetail take after you. His grip tightened around the Dragon Eye he held in his hand with every blast shot at you. Krogan walked up beside him and watched the battle as well, but with eyes that switched between Dragon Riders.

"They're on the defensive. Now is our chance to wipe them out entirely." Krogan spoke, earning an unnoticed glare from Viggo before he shouted at his men. "Send all Flyers! All Dragon Flyers to the sky!"

"Are you sure that's the right course of action, my friend?" Viggo spoke with announce in his voice as the rest of the Flyers took off, his eyes still glued to your silhouette in the sky.

"Why don't you just back away and let me do what I do best?" Krogan spat as he folded his arms over his chest and turned his gaze back to the battle.

"With pleasure." He responded with a slight growl as he began to walk away with the Dragon Eye still in hand. "It is nothing short of a thrill to watch you work, Krogan."

You groaned as you watched more Dragon Flyers approach right after you just knocked off the last rider that was after you. You tensed as you watched Meatlug get hit and start falling towards a ship with more Flyers on the way. Navjeev quickly went to help when Meatlug hit a few barrels from the ship into the sky toward the Flyers. Navjeev fired at the barrels as did Barf and Belch who you just now noticed were right beside you. The combined fire created a huge explosion that scared the Singetails away. The four of you cheered until you saw Hiccup and Gustav fly past you towards a decent sized sea stack.

He must of found a better way! You took off after him to help with whatever plan he had. You were so focused on catching up with him you failed to notice a Flyer chasing after you. A flash of fire flew past you on your left so close it almost knocked you off Navjeev. You turned Navjeev away from Hiccup, if this guy was following you then you couldn't lead him to Hiccup. A burning sensation tore at your left arm. The blast from before must have grazed your arm and the adrenaline kept you from noticing until now. You hissed at the stinging pain as you looked at the burn on your arm through the new hole on your shirt.

Another blast was shot at you which forced you to ignore the pain and focus your attention back to flying. Navjeev flew around sea stacks trying to lose the Flyer to no avail. A light in the distance tore your attention to the sea stack your brother went to. Suddenly the Singetail took off towards the light which made the Flyer shout and scream at the poor dragon. You noticed that all the Singetails in the area were flocking towards the fire. This gave you and the others the chance to get the to The Edge.

Navjeev took off with the others towards The Edge. With the closer you got you noticed a giant red Singetail with Krogan on it's back with someone else sitting behind him. You, Astrid, and Stoick gave chase as the Singetail took off. You all maneuvered around sea stacks chasing the Singetail who was shooting at the sea stacks, causing rock to fall. One blast hit Skullcrusher, but you and Astrid had to keep chasing.

"C'mon, we can catch them!" You shouted for encouragement to Astrid which made her determination to catch them increase.

You both were right on their tail when the person behind Krogan turned around as the Singetail flew towards the fog for cover. Viggo smirked, but it soon disappeared when his eyes locked with yours. It felt like a slap to the face when you saw him with Krogan after what happened at The Edge. Maybe he was just manipulating you the whole time.

"No. No, that's impossible. There's no way!" Astrid's tone was utter shock when she saw Viggo. Her shock only increased when her eyes flickered towards his hand. "He's got the Dragon Eye!"

"Alright, we're only going to get one shot at this before they lose us in that fog bank. C'mon!" Astrid took off after them while you just stared at the back of Navjeev's neck. Stormfly prepared to fire, but the Singetail blew fire out it's rear and shot towards the fog with speed.

"No!" Astrid shouted and hovered at the start of the fog.

You flew up beside her and pulled Navjeev to a stop. Astrid scowled and whipped Stormfly around, heading back towards The Edge. You followed a little ways behind her. It seemed deathly silent as you flew, only the waves crashing against sea stacks and wing beats could be heard. Astrid pulled Stormfly back to glide next to you.

"You should make sure you get that burn on your arm taken care of" Astrid broke the silence. You almost forgot about the burn, the adrenaline kept the pain away but it wore off and you could feel the stinging again.

"Oh, yeah I will, don't worry" You gave her a slight smile, but it quickly disappeared when you looked back to Navjeev's neck.

"I can't believe Viggo is alive. I thought he would have died for sure." Astrid tried to keep taking while keeping her gaze fixed ahead of Stormfly.

"Yeah, I thought that too." You mumbled loud enough for her to hear. The more she talked about Viggo the more it hurt because you where the one that helped him and now it seemed like he just manipulated you the whole time.
