Chapter 32: Another Starts

"So what do we plan on doing now? This is out of our archipelago." Astrid said as she scanned the glowing image on the wall of the Great Hall. 

The Great Hall was dimly lit with a few flames. Us Riders were the only ones in here at the moment. Hiccup had gathered up the rest of the Riders a little after we had looked at the map for the first time.

"I'm not sure. Fishlegs, do you recognize any of these islands?" Hiccup turned to Fishlegs. 

"No, I haven't. Maybe if we can find a few more lens' like (Y/n)'s we can get more information?" He suggested and glanced around at the rest of us. 

"We've never seen another lens like hers around here before." Hiccup said doubtfully and Fishlegs looked at the ground, deep in thought.  

"I found it on an island on my way back to Berk after my 'vacation'. It was in a box that had washed up on the shore, but it was the only thing in there. You're probably not going to find another like it around here." I stated and stared at the map of the strange islands. 

"Perhaps we could check out these islands for ourselves." Viggo suggested and Hiccup considered the idea. 

"Not all of us could go, we need some to stay here to defend Berk. Johann and Krogan may be gone but the hunters could still attack." Hiccup looked at the map again, a little disappointed. 

"Why would we need to go to these island in the first place?" Snotlout crossed his arms. 

"Because there could be tons of gold! More riches than anyone anyone has ever seen!" Tuff said as he sauntered over to Snotlout, "Just think about it! You could buy yourself better clothes!" 

Snotlout looked down at his clothes then glared at Tuffnut. 

"Or there could be Night furies." Ruff suddenly said, drawing everyone's attention away from her brother and to her. 

She pointed to one of the islands on the right side of the map. Her finger inches away from a print on the island that looked an awful lot like a Fury paw print. Hiccup went closer to the map and inspected the print on the island. 

"Oh my Thor, you're right sis!" Tuff went by his sister and looked at the print. "Hm it could be Falcon Furies too. Very similar prints, y'know? I volunteer going! Ruff can stay here, I work alone."

Ruff smacked him on the back of the head and looked at him with a face that said 'really?'

"If there are Furies there then we definitely need a few Riders check out these islands." Hiccup looked back at the rest of us. 

"I'll go." I said and Hiccup immediately gave me a disappointed look with a hint of sadness. 

"Yeah, I figured you would want to go." He said after a moment. 

"It's my lens, plus I use to travel a lot. I know what I'm doing out there." I crossed my arms. 

"Dad's not going to be happy about it..."

"Yeah, I know." It's not like I would be going away forever. After the mission is over I would be coming back to Berk. Besides, I should only be gone for a month at most, but who knows. 

"I'm good at this stuff, don't worry." I said and it seemed to ease him just a little bit. 

"Okay, I need someone else to go with her." Hiccup turned and looked at the others. 

 "I will go." Viggo said making me smiled a little bit. 

Hiccup looked at him for a second before nodding. 

"So, Viggo and (Y/n) will go to these islands to see what's there. If you guys are gone for more than three months then we will come looking for you. There might be people there so if they aren't hostile try to learn a bit about them." 

I could tell Hiccup was trying to think of every possible way we could keep him updated, but it's kinda hard to when we are going so far out. He wants us to be safe incase something happens but he also wants to know what's out there. Especially if it is Night Furies. 

"Okay, that's great and all but what is this symbol?" Snotlout pointed to one of the islands on the lower left side of the map. There was a symbol on one of the islands. 

It looked familiar to me and I could tell the others thought the same thing. They had this look on their faces like they were looking back in their memories. 

"Isn't this the symbol those Vikings had on their sail? The ones that captured Viggo and (Y/n)?" Astrid asked and looked towards me.

I looked closer at it and Astrid was right, it was the same symbol they had. 

"Blaze Breakers." I said. 

"That must be their base if it's on the map," Fishlegs said. "What were they doing by Dragons Edge then?"

"I don't know, but if they were by Dragon Edge then these islands can't be too far out of the archipelago." Hiccup guessed and the Riders looked at him hopefully. 

"It just means if Viggo and (Y/n) need help then we could get there quicker. We still need to be ready for an attack from the Hunters here." He said and others groaned. 

"Hiccup is right. We can't just take eight riders to go to an unknown place and leave Berk without enough fire power. Even with the A Team, it might not be enough to fend off an attack." Astrid said and Hiccup thanked her.  

"I'm sorry gang but we can't risk us all going and leaving Berk open for an attack." He explained and the others accepted it but still were not happy. 

The doors to the Great Hall opened and we all turned our heads. 

"Are you kids almost done using the Great Hall?" Gobber asked as he walked in with Stoick. 

Hiccup opened his mouth to speak but Stoick spoke before him. 

"Is that what you needed the Great Hall for?" He said while looking towards the map.

"Uh yes, we were just about to talk to you about... this." Hiccup answered and gestured towards the map. 

"Alright, go on then." Stoick said calmly and sat down at one of the tables, Gobber sat beside him. 

Hiccup went on explaining how I had a lens and Hiccup made another Dragon Eye for it, the Falcon Eye. The lens showed a map to another archipelago of island and that we think there might be a species of Fury on one of the islands. He also briefly mentioned the Blaze Breakers.  

"Do you all plan on going to these islands with Thor knows what?" Stoick slightly furrowed his brows, usually meaning he didn't like the idea and was going to go against it. 

"N-no just two riders. They are going to check out the islands to see what they can find. The rest of us will stay here in case of an attack." Hiccup replied.

"Alright, and who might these two lucky riders be?" 

"Uhhh (Y/n) and Viggo..."
