Being back in Mystic Falls was unsettling, if anything. Her paranoia had increased tenfold as soon as she had passed by their cliche welcoming sign. She once had liked the town, but now she was worried that something or someone was going to pop out of the shadows and take control of her mind again, stripping her of her freewill.

And she didn't want that to happen again.

She didn't want it to happen ever again.

She was going to make sure of that.

Her first stop once she was in town was going to her apartment. She had got out of the truck a few blocks up, ditching the vehicle, seeing as she had stolen the thing a few states over. She didn't exactly want that on her record, so leaving it behind was the best option for her.

Castle, her very happy companion, jumped out of the passenger side of the truck. The golden retriever, happily followed after Elliot by smell, occasionally having her redirect him so he wouldn't wander into the streets.

Once back in the apartment, Elliot grabbed an older blanket out of the closet and placed it on the floor accompanied by a pillow. She then walked into the kitchen and grabbed a bowl and filled it with tap water. She placed the bowl on the tile floor next to the blanket. She then carefully showed Castle where he needed to go, the dog lapping up water before settling onto the blanket.

Elliot ruffled his hair, giving him a kiss on the top of the head—she had gotten very attached, very quickly.

But how could she not?

He was absolutely adorable.

The brunette made her way out of the apartment, locking the door behind her, making sure that Castle was going to be okay. She didn't want anything to happen to the little blind bundle of joy.

Her next stop in Mystic Falls was the Mystic Grill. She had hopped onto her bike, which she had to get off the truck bed. Then she went speeding down the streets of the little town, not bothering to put her helmet on.

She pulled into one of the parking spots that was outside of the dreary, little building. She swung her leg over the seat of the motorcycle and stood up before walking into the establishment.

Her eyes scanned across the place, looking for any of the people she recognized or cared about. She needed to let them know that she was okay, so they wouldn't worry about her anymore, especially her brother.

He was probably freaking out the most.

Bucky had always been the person that worried for her the most.
