Tamia spent the whole rest of the night worried that Eddie was dead alone yet Tamia was with the crew, it was true that she was trying to figure out what exactly happened but Tamia couldn't help but think it was a waste of time to look at the Victor Creel angle but Tamia doesn't have to worry about that because she declined Nancy and Robin's offer to go to Pennhurst with them, Tamia felt that it was a little too suspicious that three people wanted to meet one person so she decided that it would be better to stay with Steve and the kids. She felt they needed at least one person with brains in the group.

When she saw that the three boys were staring she kicked Steve in the shin making him groan and rubbing his shin. "What was that for?" He whined out making Lucas and Dustin curl their lips into an amused smile. "Stop staring at her, she's trying to do something." Tamia gestured her head towards Max who was on the other side of the room at the desk writing some letters, Tamia had a feeling she knew what Max was doing but she didn't dare bring it up. "She's right, how you guys think your eyes boring into the back of my head will protect me from Vecna, I don't know." Max sighed as gathered the letters that she wrote and scooted the chair back.

"For you." Max held out a letter for Dustin and he took it with a questioning look on his face but stayed silent. "For you, and this one is for you." Max handed one to Steve and another one to Lucas but Tamia noticed she still had a few letters left. "Oh, and um give these to Mike, El, and Will. If you can ever get a hold of them again." Max handed the other letters to Lucas who looked confused but nodded and put them beside him.

Tamia facepalmed when she saw that they all started to open them. "Hey! What are you doing? No, don't. That's not, for now, don't open it now." Dustin went widened before nodding and slipping the note back closed. "I'm sorry, what is this?" Dustin asked as he waved the letter around. "It's um, it's a fail-safe. For after, if things don't work out. Could you make sure they read them?" Max looks at Tamia who looks surprised that Max even said anything to her, she didn't warrant a letter and Tamia knew that and didn't blame her. "Of course." Tamia's crossed her arms as she nodded at Max to let her know that she will do what she asks. "Wait, whoa. Max, things are gonna work out." Lucas looks at Max confused.

"No! No, I don't need you to reassure me right now and tell me it's all gonna work out. People have been telling me that my entire life and it's almost never true. It's never true, I mean, of course, this asshole curses me. Should've seen that one coming." Max inhales deeply once she finishes talking, she turns around and looks at the table, and walks over to pick up the walkie-talkie.

She turns around and shakes it slightly. "If we go to East Hawkins, will this reach Pennhurst?" Tamia raises her eyebrow as she watches Max. "Of course, yeah," Dustin says, beside him, Steve looks confused. "Wait, why are we talking about East Hawkins?" Max didn't have to say anything because they all knew what Max was alluding to, Steve shook his head quickly but Max ignored him and started to grab her bag and walk up the stairs.

Tamia sighed as she followed her, if no one else was going to take her then Tamia was because if this was Max's last day at least someone would be with her unlike Chrissy who saves for Eddie was alone. "Max! Seriously, I'm not joking, I'm not driving you anywhere." Steve said as he had to run to catch up to them, he was walking next to Tamia and without looking behind her Tamia knew that Dustin and Lucas followed. "If you think I'm going to spend what is likely the last day of my life in the armpit that is Mike Wheeler's basement, you're out of your mind. Either take me where I need to go or tie me down, which is technically kidnapping of a minor, and if I live to see another day, Steve. I swear to god, I will prosecute."

Max walked towards Steve's car and tried to open the back door. "If Steve doesn't drive you I can." Tamia supplied helpfully ignoring the glare that Steve sent her. "Thank you!" Max turned around to follow Tamia to her car when Steve stopped the two of them. "Fine! I'll take you, Henderson, that super walkie of yours better reach Pennhurst." Steve sighed, Max smirked slightly and opened the door in the back seat, Tamia walked over to the front of the car and opened the passenger door but when she started to get in she paused when she saw Max look behind her at the fence.

Max didn't have to say anything because Tamia knew, she remembered seeing Chrissy do that a few times. She closed her eyes tightly and let out a sigh before getting in the car, she vowed right then and there that she was going to do her best to protect Max because she couldn't protect Chrissy but Max still had time and they were going to figure out what to do.
