Chapter 28 - The baby in your tummy is mine

Sorry for the very late update mga dears! Madami kasing August babies sa family namin and we have been preparing for our baby's first birthday since last month. Here is a dose of happiness for you!

Nang makarating sila sa second floor, ay di maiwasan ni Charlotte ang mamangha sa nakita. Sweet Resto is known for it's romatic ambiance at di nga nila binigo ang expectation ng mga tao.

Nguni tang ipinagtataka niya ay bakit siya dinala ni Damien dito. Bigla siyang nag-init at bumilis ang kabog ng kanyang dibdib ng maalala ang mga text messages nito noong nakaraan. For sure pulang-pula siya ngayon.

Damien raised the corner of his lips when he saw her reaction. Charlotte is so damn pretty especially when she is blushing.

Her skin is fair white dahil sa lahing banyaga na naman nito sa kanyang ama. Kaya klarong-klaro ang pamumula ng buong mukha nito pati sa leeg.

He reminded himself to give Sean a bonus for a job well done.

The whole floor was well lit. May mga mini lights, scented candles and petals sa paligid. Meron ding tumutugtog ng violin di kalayo-an sa table. The typical romantic set-up na napapanood niya sa movies.

She thought that the actors reaction were exaggerated, ngunit ibang-iba talaga pag ikaw na mismo ang makakaranas ng ganoong experience.

Kinain tuloy siya ng kanyang konsensya sa isiping bibigoin niya ang binate ngayong gabi. The man really prepared their dinner date tonight.

When they arrived at their table, ay pinaghila siya ng upoan ng binata. Charlotte can't help but squirm at the same time cry inside.

Kainis ka Damien! Masyado kang pa fall!

She rein herself and decided to talk to him later sa naging desisyon niya. Might as well she enjoy this night bago niya sirain mamaya.

Nang makaupo, the servers served their food. From soup, to appetizers hanggang sa main dish ay tahimik lang sila. Parehong nakiramdam sa isa't isa.

Damien decided to break the silence ng makitang nakakain at busog na si Charlotte.

"I hope na tapos kanang mag-isip isip at payagan mo akong ligawan ka." Aniya habang tinitigan ang mukha ng dalaga. He really like it seeing the different reactions on her face.

"Seryoso ka talaga? Akala ko nagbibiro ka lang" pag maang-maangan ni Charlotte. She dreaded the topic, and as much as possible gusto niyang iwasan.

"Yes. I am very serious."

"Can we at least be friends? No courting and such. Do something like a normal friends would do?" she blurted the only solution she could think of.

"Kaya ako nagpaalam na ligawan ka dahil ayaw ko ma friendzone."

Charlotte reddened at what he said, oo nga naman. Bumuntong hininga siya and decided to tell Damien her decision. Ayaw man niyang mawalan ng opportunity para magkaroon ng the best na kaibigan, she got no choice.

"I'm sorry..."

"That is not the word I like to hear from you tonight." Putol agad nito sa sasabihin niya.

"But!"

"No buts from you young lady." He said domineeringly. The very first time Charlotte see this side of him.

Bigla niyang naalala nga nasa loob nga pala siya ng nobela and Damien as a character is a typical domineering president whom women would flock for.

And sad to say, isa siya sa mga babaeng baliw sa karakter na ganoon. She love to read those kind of genre. Sometime she dreamed to have one, but sad to say in reality walang ganoon. Kaya hanggang sa pagbabasa na lang siya.

But... Lo! And behold! A domineering president in flesh right in front of her!

Charlotte want to hyperventilate! and say Oh tukso layoan mo ako...

"Maybe what I am going to tell you will change your mind" agap ni Damien sa sasabihin sana Charlotte. Ge have this gut feeling na pipilitin ng dalaga ang gusto nito.

He would never allow that. NEVER.

Charlotte curiously glanced at the man in front of her. Gusto niyang malaman kung ano ang sasabihin nito makakapag pabago sa desisyon niya.

She already set her mind to turn down Damien. She is not that heartless na ikulong ang binata sa kanya lalo na at mababaw na paghanga pa lang ang nararamdaman niya.

"What is it?" she asked curiously.

"Believe me, the baby in your tummy is mine." He said nervously while looking at Charlotte's face. She look at him in disbelief and disappointment is written all over her face.

Regardless of her reaction, the baby inside her is a blessing. The baby is the only way para mapalapit ang dalaga sa kanya.
