Baylor:

My plan is stupid. Stupid as stupid gets.

I meet in the interrogation room with Rodrigo.

He looks me up and down, "You're in trouble aren't you."

"Yup."

"What happened?"

"I traded myself for my friends. Tomorrow morning the Russians pick me up."

Rodrigo laughs, "That wasn't very smart of you."

"I have a plan."

"That is?"

"I'm not telling you."

He looks at me like I am crazy, "Okay so what are you hear for."

"I want to know what you know about the Russians."

Sage:

It's our last night together and she is talking to Rodrigo.

I pace back and forth in our room while I wait for her.

Hours go bye. Emerson comes in worried and missing Baylor.

What is Emerson going to do when Baylor leaves? What am I going to do when Baylor leaves?

How could Baylor be this stupid?

I call Beck who picks up on the first ring, "Do we have the power to overrule this deal?"

I don't remember reading it but maybe Beck does.

He sighs, "No."

"Do we have enough men to fight them?"

"Not currently," Becks bored voice says through the phone.

"Why not?" I demand.

"Because I fired a bunch for not working and just taking pay."

I would've done the same. Damnit.

"Beck, I don't know what to do."

"Nothing. Sage, you got to trust her. Which believe me I know sounds crazy but eventually she will either scare them into letting her go or her plan will work."

She is very scary when mad.

Suddenly, Emerson jumps up and runs in the direction of the door.

"Hey!" Baylor smiles and hugs him. "Let's get you to bed."

As if she were a ghost she is gone again.

"Sage? Sage? You there?"

I blink a couple times, "Yeah. I got to go. Thanks Beck."

I hang up and walk to the doorway.

Was she really here?

I sit on the bed.

It's two A.M.. I need sleep. I put my face in my hands and rub my eyes.

The door quietly shuts. A couple seconds later Baylor is replacing my hands with hers. She cups my cheeks and stares right into my eyes.

"I'm sorry," she says quietly.

"Baylor I am so unbelievably mad at you right now," my voice shakes with anger as I quietly talk to her. "However, I would rather hold you and be with you until you have to leave instead of arguing."

I wrap my arms around her waist pulling her into my lap. She rests her head on my shoulder.

"I love you, Sage."

I say nothing back for a second.

"I love you, too, Baylor."

"I will always love you, Sage."

I lump in my throat forms.

"How long will you be gone?" my voice slightly cracks as I ask.

"I don't know," she admits.

I hold her closer. Squeezing her tight.

"I can't lose you okay? I just can't. You are my everything Baylor."

"You won't lose me."

"Please, don't do anything else that's as stupid as this. Ever," I tell her.

"I won't," she whispers into the crook of my neck. Her breath warming my neck.

I breath in the scent of her hair and her body. I run my fingers along her curves.

I've never truly felt fear before meeting her but now I seem to feel it all the time. I fear losing her.

"Baylor, when you get back I will be locking you up and never letting you out of my sight," I tell her.

"That sounds good to me," she squeezes me. "I am sorry. I know how scared you must be. I just did the only thing that seemed right. I wanted to save Nat and Beck."

I take a deep breath, "I am not going to say it's okay but I will say I understand your thought process."

She eases into me a little more. Less tense.

"Goodbye, Sage," I vaguely hear her whisper in my ear as we both drift off to sleep.
