I HEARD A RUMOR.
╚══ஓ๑♡๑ஓ══╝
As I sat in the bureaucrat's car, I kicked my feet. Looking out of the window to see all the buildings we were passing by.
They all passed with a blur, a short memory of nothing.
It's dark . . .
It'll be morning soon . . .
I sighed quietly to myself as I looked over to where the cop sat, driving.
"I didn't know Diego had a daughter. And a pretty one too . . . " the officer randomly started, from the rear view mirror I could see his eyes on me. I simply squinted my eyes at the sight of this.
"Eyes on the road, bud." I suggested, looking out of the window again.
"You're just like him, your Father . . . do you have a boyfriend?" my brows furrowed at his question, looking towards the front rear view mirror to see his eyes on me again. My mouth pulled into a deep frown.
Without any hint of hesitation I stunned the time, looking around to make sure it had actually stopped properly, I hopped out of the car.
I groaned as I had to now walk back to the Academy on my own . . .
Going with Diego would just be a waste of time for me, I can't be pretending to someone's daughter when I have an apocalypse to stop . . .
Where did Diego say Harold's grandmother lived?
. . .
Allison went there but I . . . I couldn't remember where that quite was . . .
. . .
I huffed in frustration. I let the time continue once my feet touched the pavement. I walked on the side walk to walk towards the Umbrella Academy again.
The click-clack of my shoes echoed along the empty side walk as no one was quite here, the street lights and passing cars being my only form of company, somewhat.
Perhaps I could go ahead and help Five . . .
--
I grinned in success as I finally made it to the Academy. I'll admit it only took me a bit longer for I had stopped here and there to just . . . Enjoy the peace and emptiness the world had to offer at these odd hours.
I read some letters from my brothers.
Turns out, Bruce got married to a man named Kurt Matthews. Willis only expressed in the letters of how he felt guilty of never really being there for me.
Willis also shared in the letters that he had a daughter. She was named after me, just in memory.
It was alright . . . I haven't read the most recent letter yet, though, for some odd reason I was petrified to do so.
If I could guess . . . I'd say it's around 5 AM right about now. Five may be up, I'm unsure.
I heavily lifted each of my feet up as I stepped on the stairs towards the front door of the infamous family abode. Swinging the door open and closing it behind me as I stared at the ground.
. . . Huh. Radio silence.
I huffed, walking down the hallway and taking a left to find myself now in the kitchen area. I sat down on one of the chairs at the dining table.
Waiting for Five to wake up . . .
. . .
. . .
". . . Darl . . . Darl, there you are." a familiar voice beamed, I quickly turned my head to see Five behind me.
The voice sounded raspy and tired.
I shared a smile with him as he did the same, he had a very evident tired look on his face. Getting closer he engulfed me in a short hug from behind, kissing my cheek before he sat down himself.
"Where were you, darling?"
"Off with Diego and Allison . . . Kind of . . . Lost them both, actually." I said, shrugging with an embarrassed smile as I looked down at my lap.
"Ah! Y/N! You're here too. Good morning, sweet pea." Klaus exclaimed in a giddy manner, his hands moved as he talked with slight excitement.
I expressed a side smile as I watched him walk further into the kitchen.
"Morning, Klaus."
Soon enough he plopped two cups of coffee infront of Five and I. We gave each other a brief glance in surprise as we saw Klaus flinging a frying pan on the stove.
"Thank you, Klaus." I softly said, bringing the cup to my mouth only to grimace at the taste,
"Have you- Have you ever made coffee before, Klaus?" I asked as I stared at his face in an odd manner. He simply laughed as he skipped out of the kitchen with a bell in his hand.
Oddball.
"So. How'd you lose those two?"
"Oh, long story. But uh, Allison went to a location where Harold's grandmother use to live, or something."
"Good enough." Five shrugged, chugging more of the disgustingly made beverage.
"I was very disappointed when I woke up to nothing by my side." he quietly said, I eyed him from the side,
"Sorry about that."
"Quite alright." he smiled at me, placing his hand on my thigh from underneath the table. I felt myself get flushed as I stared into the muddy colored water in my cup.
I ignored the obnoxious commotion from above, assuming Klaus was up to something, obviously.
Thump.
Thump.
I turned my head around to see Luther and Klaus enter the room, Luther looked completely out of it.
Very out of character . . .
Luther groggily slumped himself down on one of the many chairs at the table, holding his head as he stared at the table,
"There we go. This'll fix ya right up." Klaus smiled as he poured Luther some of that liquid he called coffee.
Luther only sighed in response as he brought the cup to his lips. This action only was stopped by Five grabbing his cup away.
I furrowed my brows, that seemed unnecessary.
"Nice, okay." Klaus said to himself as he poured another cup. Luther watched confusingly as he saw Five drink his coffee, Five's face quickly turned sour,
"Jesus. Who do I gotta kill to get a decent cup of coffee?"
"Hah. What made you think Luther's cup would be any different?" I inquired, arms folded as I slightly scowled at him, he rolled his eyes at me before looking back at Klaus.
