Elena's pov-

Like he promised, he let me call my family after a whole week.
I took the opportunity and called Alice.
She's like a lukewarm honey.
She'll be the best right now to have a conversation.

And as per his condition, phone was on speaker, and he was standing only a metre away from me.

After she picked up, the only thing she said was my name.
So she did predict!

I talked to her and asked how everybody was, especially Jez and Melody.

After hearing that they were in good health, I was relieved.

I didn't want a panic rush, so I asked if she was alone.
And she said she wasn't stupid not to be.

She asked me how I was and I heard her cracking voice within each sentence.
She knows!

She gave me an indirect scolding and told me to pull myself together.

This whole time I felt his eyes on me.
I ignored him as much as I can.

I know he's wary of Alice.
Anyone would be.

After she made me promise that I'd try my best, she shocked both of us.

Even if she's my sister and I'm well aware of her capabilities, she never fails to surprise me.

She greeted Albedo, even though I did not once utter his name or told her that he was standing right beside me.

She also said that he stole the wrong daughter of Alexanders.
I was silent the whole time.

What made both of us stunned was when she said that I should stand 2 feet away from the sofa I was sitting on, whenever I will hear the doorbell.
She said that she was well aware of my habit of wandering barefoot inside the bedrooms.
She also told Albedo to hold the glass of juice that maid will bring.

Like always, I didn't question her and I never will.
She is always right.
But I think Albedo had his doubts when I saw him making weird faces.

She bid me farewell along with well wishes and reassurance that the situation will ease out.
And I believed her, like always.

She's the ultimate seer.
She's the Oracle that people can massacre for.

I ended the call with a heavy heart.
Handing back his cell phone, I looked down at my hands.
I was sad. Utterly sad.
Hearing her voice made me yearn for my family.
My heart felt a pang.

Not long after, I heard the doorbell ring and I jolted up instantly.
I measured 2 feet and stood to the right side of the sofa.

This whole time he looked at me bewildered as I obliged to the words of the person who was not even present to inspect if I was obedient to her words or not.
I bet that this blind devotion and obedience did irk him.
I suppressed my laughter.

My family is my everything.
I will follow them blindly even if it is inside the pits of hell.

Not long after, a maid came with food.
It was a different maid, not the one who usually brings my food.

She started arranging the food on the table near sofa.
The regular one doesn't do that.

She left afterwards.
Albedo told me to drop this nonsense and sit for the breakfast.
I didn't.

He moved to sofa himself and in the process, stubbed his toe.
The glass of juice fell to the ground due to the push.

Glass shattered instantly into many shards along with series of curses that Albedo mumbled.
