ANNIE'S POV:
I was walking around the forest, alone. I wanted some time off people. Even Sohail failed to understand me. I didn't want this, I wanted peace and happiness.
Again, peace was an imaginary thing. While strolling, I felt someone behind me.
"Uh.." I ignored it and continued walking.
Suddenly someone grabbed my waist and whispered,
"Moonlight.."
"God, you scared me." I breathed out.
"Me? You scared me. Why are you here at this hour?"
"Mhm, just taking a walk."
"You could've informed me."
"Sorry, next time." I winked, laughing.
He picked he up in his arms,
"Oh, so you're planning do to this again?" He asked, raising his eyebrows.
"Yes, will YOU stop me?" I pouted, challenging him.
"Are you challenging me?" He smirked.
"I think so.. Mr. 300 year old Vampire." I laughed.
He joined me, his eyes shining.
I held hands with him and walked around with him.
Soon, it was late night, the moon shone brightly.
We laid on the grass, looking at the stars.
"You're a liar." I turned to him.
"What?" He laughed.
"You said, you'll never leave me." I answered.
"Yes, I'm sticking through it. I'll never leave you, ." He said.
"You left me." And with that I disappeared into the air.
"AHH" I woke up with a terrible headache.
I..I died?
Was that all a dream?
Sohail. Where's Sohail?
"Sohail!?" I called his name out.
No response.
I tried to get up, but when i looked down, Mt hands and legs were tied to a chair.
I was in a dark room, all alone.
All I could hear was the sound of my own breathing.
"You up?" A manly voice asked.
"Who's.. who's that?" I asked in my trembling voice.
The man walked into the darkness, towards me.
My breath hitched when he came infornt of me.
Jake?
"WHAT ARE YOU DOING? LEAVE ME ALONE! If my boyfriend got to knpw, you're so dead." I nervously laughed.
"Will he able to do anything though?" He smirked.
"Of course, you have no idea who he is." I said, almost unsure.
He smiled devilishly.
"Do you know who I am?"
"A human." I answered.
That second, he grinned. His fangs visible.
You've got to be kidding me.
My fiancée was a vampire all this time?
"Is there anyone who's human? Like normal?" I asked to myself but Jake seemed to hear it as he laughed.
"I told you, you're mine." He said.
"I'm not freaking yours. Leave me!!" I yelled at him.
"Shut the hell up." Another familiar voice said.
I flinched on the yelling by the other voice.
It sounded..familiar.
He came into the light.
The new Lord.
"Why am I here?" I asked on the verge of tears.
"Your life depends on you sister now. I've called her. If she comes alone, you'll die with her and if she doesn't you'll die alone." He laughed.
"I've manipulated her. She thinks that if she comes, she'll save your life. Poor girl, she doesn't know I've already sold you to Jake, here." He smirked.
I started throwing my hands and legs due to anger. I was shaking with rage.
"I hate you. I freaking hate you." I told Jake.
"I love you too." He laughed.
I had to get out of here, anyhow.
It was gonna be a long journey, but I believed in myself.
First, I had to gain their trusts so that I could stop Jess from coming here. Something, please..
"Um.. Jake?" I called him, sweetly.
"Yes babe?"
"Could you.. uh.. loosen the grip a bit, please?" I told him pointing at the rope on both my wrists.
"I could just free you babe, not like you're going to run faster than me."
Yeah correct, dumbo.
I almost forgot he could read minds, but since he didn't respond to my "dumbo" , I doubted his mind reading skills.
Anyway, after he opened the rope, I stood up and walked around a little. I could feel his eyes on my back.
I turned around and raised my eyebrows at him.
"Mhm.. Sohail's lucky." I rolled my eyes at his remark.
His eyes hovered around my body and something, better everything, about it wasn't right.
I needed to get out from here.
As I was thinking about a plan to run away, Jake suddenly stood up and came towards me.
I stumbled backwards until my back hit the wall.
My breath trembled, no I'm not weak. I'm tired of crying. This time, I'll either die or fight.
There's nothing in between.
It was strange but yet in such a way that it did not surprise me. I wasn't afraid of dying this time. I was afraid of losing something that belonged to just one person and that was Sohail. I needed to get out of here for him.
I won't fail him.
I ran to the other side of the room and grabbed a knife.
I cut my finger and dropped some drops of blood on the ground.
Due to the smell, Jake hurried towards the blood and disgustingly licked it all.
He sped up towards me. I continued the dropping of blood.
While he was busy finding where the smell is coming from, I put a piece of cloth on my hand to prevent any further blood loss.
I had already found a window to jump from.
Jake wasn't using his senses. He was a new vampire and it showed.
I opened the window and jumped.
I was running and running and running. I panted every now and then.
My feet couldn't take it anymore and I collapsed.
Someone was standing infront of me.
Their shoes..
He stepped on me.
"Lord.." I looked at him.
"You dared to do this." He smirked.
"Yes, what are you gonna do about it?" I laughed.
He increased the pressure of his feet on my chest. If this continued any longer, my ribs would break.
But, I won't give up. Not when I'm so close.
"Then die." With that all I could see was darkness and a feeling of blood oozing out of my body.
And I felt lighter..
