"Enjoy the good things while they last."

***********
Nina:

"I am done with this," Lillian announced as she threw the rags she had been using for the last hour to clean windows.

"I think the place is spotless now." Ethan agreed as he came from the corridor.

"We did a good job, guys." Enzo high-fived each of us with a wide grin on his face.

We arranged the tools we used in the corner of the living room and went outside where Jasper and Ayla were lounging under the sun's rays.

He looked up at us with his typical infuriating smirk. He looked at his watch and nodded his head.

"I am impressed with the way you have been working together. You would make an excellent team."

"Wow! You are complimenting us. I think the world is coming to an end." Lillian exclaimed in a dramatic voice while fanning her head as if she would faint at any moment.

We laughed at her antics and even Jasper shared our amusement. But as usual, he had to ruin the moment.

"It is lunchtime." He ignored our groans and threw a map our way.

Ethan caught it, and we gathered around to study it.  LA few moments later, I said with a victorious smile.

"I think I found the best dish we can cook for lunch." I pointed to the small lake that was located on the outskirts of the property. "We can go fishing and collect the meal for both lunch and dinner."

After retrieving four fishing poles, we started the long walk to the lake. It took us about thirty minutes to arrive at a large meadow full of beautiful flowers.

I inhaled the sweet scent that flooded the place and felt immediately relaxed.
We sat next to each other and prepared our tools.
We sat on the grass and threw our poles in hopes of catching something big.
Patience was the keyword to becoming a good poacher. We waited and waited until Ethan's pole tightened and he pumped his fist in the air, delighted as he brought out a good-sized fish from the water.

He struggled to put it inside the water bucket, but he did it.

After that, we managed to catch at least twenty or so different types of fish.
I wasn't that lucky and managed to only score four, but for a beginner, it was great.

I learned from the other guys that they have fished plenty as a way of bonding and spending time together. And I could understand how it was a good activity to get to know each other.

By the time we went back to the mansion, it was one in the afternoon. Right away, we cleaned the fish and seasoned it.

Yes, I said we because even Lillian and I joined the boys cleaning. It wasn't that bad, and I don't know why some girls made a big deal out of it.

Well, maybe they never had the honour of torturing people and getting different body juices all over them. My ever-helping inner conscious pointed out.

We spiced the fish using the lemon and garlic we got from the large field behind the house, where you could find anything you want from vegetables to fruits.

Ayla inhaled deeply as she took a seat at the table we have already prepared.
"Wow! This smells like heaven."

"Yes, we are great cooks," I said teasingly and at ease. Ayla was a laid-back woman and made communication with her an easy task.

"Oh, there is orange juice. You learned very quickly." Jasper rubbed his hands together as he took his seat.
