"An animal clinic?" Cora asked, looking at the building

"It's not as ordinary as it looks" Peter replied "the building's half made out of Mountain Ash, and only one of us will be able to enter. I'm not exactly sure how you and I can get in"

"Well, maybe we could do what normal people do and knock on the door" looking at him

As she was about to walk toward the building, Peter grabbed her arm, his head tilting slightly when she looked back at him,

"They're here" he informed, looking at the building

"Who?" Cora asked

"All of them" his eyebrows furrowing slightly

Nova's gaze rose to the building, the color of her eyes flashing red, walking over to the building. Peter and Cora reached out, trying to grab her, but she shrugged them off, walking toward the back entrance where Deaton often received his shipments of medical supplies.

"Damn" Peter muttered

Her heart was calm and steady, her scent was hidden, if she timed it right, then she could match the beating of her heart with the veterinarian's.

"How's our patient?" Deucalion asked

"Out cold" Deaton replied, removing a latex glove from his hands

He glanced at the other corner of the room, where Nova stood, her hands stuffed in the pockets of her coat as she looked at Ennis, who laid on a metal table normally used to treat animals. The irony would almost make her chuckle, if not for the pain she was feeling.

"And the prognosis?" Deucalion asked, walking over to the table

"Surprisingly optimistic" Deaton replied, removing his other glove "he's gonna make it"

"Hm" a small smile on his lips

He reached out toward Ennis, hovering his hand over his wounds, Nova watching as Ennis's head moved slightly when Deucalion walked to the head of the table, her eyes flashing red when his eyes opened. The other alpha leaned down, kissing one of his cheeks, then the other, moving to his ear,

"Why did you kill that family of werewolves, Ennis?" He whispered

". . Paid" he muttered

"By whom?" gently grasping the sides of his head

". . Marie Phoenix" he replied

Deaton looked back at Nova, seeing that her eyes had turned red at the mention of her name, indicating that she knew who that person was. Deucalion stood straight, Deaton turning back to him, watching as he walked to the side of the table, hovering his hand over Ennis's face, extending his claws, causing his eyes to widen. Nova watched as his claws dug into the sensitive skin of his face, the color of her eyes fading back to gray, feeling half of her pain fade away, a loud crunch filling the air, Ennis no longer moving,

"I think you might've overestimated his odds" he said, turning away and walking out of the room

Derek let out a small roar, charging toward Deucalion, only to have Kali leap up, kicking him in the head and knocking him back, a growl emitting from her. The twins growled as well, jumping off from the other level, morphing into one giant alpha, landing on two feet with a loud growl. Derek fought with Kali, Boyd and Nova fought with Ennis, anger emitting from the redhead like waves, her talons slashing at his side, moving out of the way when he swiped in her direction. Isaac charging at the twins, hair sprouting from Scott's face as his ears turned to points, letting out a growl and charging at the morph just as the beta was knocked back. Ennis had yet to land a hit on Nova, the alpha dislocating Cora's shoulder and throwing her down, growling in pain then talons slashed his back, Nova ducking when his hand was thrown her way. She turned around, blocking a hit that Kali tried to make, kicking her back, whipping around and kicking Ennis in his side.

As she kicked again, he grabbed her leg and swung her around, throwing her back against a wall, a crater forming on the impact. Nova grunted as she fell to the floor, yelping slightly when Ennis grabbed her hair, pulling her up and holding her against the wall, her hands on his, trying to get him to release her. Derek growled at the sight of someone else touching his mate,

"Kill him" Deucalion ordered, Derek's eyes snapping to him "the others can go"

Kali had binned Cora down with a foot to her neck, the morphed twins had Scott and Isaac on their knees, Boyd was wounded on the floor, blood coming from his mouth and Ennis had Nova pinned back against the wall by her hair.

"Do it, Derek" he continued, walking down the steps "take the first step"

"Are we serious with this kid?" Kali asked "look at him. He's an alpha? To what? A couple of useless teenagers?"

"Some have more promise than others" his head turning in Scott's direction, then Nova's

"Let him rise to the occasion then" she replied "what'll it be, Derek? Pack or family?"

Nova glared at Ennis, one of her hands snapping to her pocket and pulling out her lighter, sparking the small flame and putting it against his hand. A growl emitted from him, snatching it away, but a smirk formed on her lips as her eyes turned red once more. A powerful scream emitted from her lips, a wave of fire throwing him back, gaining everyone's attention. Fire covered Nova's arms and hair, no damage coming to her clothes, Kali's eyes widening slightly, everyone suddenly covering their eyes when a bright light sparked on the floor, a light that was sensitive to werewolves.

"Your eyes!" Deucalion said, crouching down slightly "cover your eyes!"

Allison stood at the upper level, shooting arrow after arrow, a small smirk on her lips as everyone stood to their feet. Scott charged at Ennis, the alpha doing the same, approaching one another at a quick speed, which ended up knocking one another back. Scott landed in a kneeling position, his gaze rising, his eyes red just like an alpha, Nova saw it, but he shook his head slightly, his eyes turning back to amber. Derek knocked Ennis slightly, who turned around and swiped his claws, the two of them struggling, their strengths somewhat matched, but Nova's eyes widened when both of them moved closer to the edge. Ennis threw his head forward, catching Derek in his nose, Scott racing forward, swiping his claws at his leg, a loud growl emitting from him. Nova's fire faded from her as they moved closer, their feet slipping over the edge, Derek looking at Nova, who began to run toward him, screaming for her mate.

Isaac caught Nova, wrapping an arm around her stomach, holding her back, tears running down her cheeks as she fell to her knees, her eyes closing as she heard the distant crash, the beta holding her close as she cried.
