". . ."

"N . . A . ."

"N. . Va . ."

"N . . Ova . ."

". . Nova . ."

"Nova?"

Pain filled her head as she slowly opened her eyes, quickly seeing that her vision was very blurry. Kira looked at her, watching as her eyes fluttered slightly before falling back against the chain-link fence, a groan emitting from her. She called out her name again, which seemed to snap her out of her daze, and Kira couldn't blame her. When she had walked them to their vehicles after dinner, they were knocked hard on the head, Nova's hit being a little harder than theirs, not even catching a scent or a heartbeat before their captor stuck. Nova shook her head slightly, as if to rid herself of her dizziness, blinking her eyes for a moment before she looked down at herself, seeing that her hands were bound on either sides of her with a thick wire, her breath hitching slightly. It instantly triggered the memory she would never forget, when she was chained to the wall, left there for three days with nothing but her dead parents and sister to keep her company.

Her breathing slowly began to increase, tugging on the wires for a moment, feeling them. She wouldn't be able to break through them without hurting herself, and she honestly didn't want another mark, which told any other Phoenix how she got hurt. Her head leaned back against the chain-link when a man approached her, bending down and moving closer to her face, looking at her with amazement in his eyes. Nova's head shot forward, her forehead catching him in his nose, which caused him to back away with a groan, holding on to his new injury. William Barrow glared at the redhead, his hand clenching into a fist, a grunt emitting from her when it collided with her cheekbone, her head turning to the right at the impact. Nova's head was forced to stay against the chain-link due to another wire he placed around her neck, making sure to tighten it as much as it could go without killing her.

Kira sat across from her, with her wrists tied to the chain-link, Nova wondering how Barrow knew to tie her down with plain silver wiring while the dark-haired teen was bound with cord.

". . Derek" Nova whispered, tears forming in her eyes

Mates shared a few abilities unlike most supernatural beings. When Jennifer was hurting Derek in the distillery, Nova could feel that pain. Peter explained it to them, when someone of the opposite genter touches what doesn't belong to them, the mate would feel it as if it were happing to them. They could hear their mates call from miles away, even if their names were whispered, while feeling one another's emotions but only if they focused on it. Nova's eyes closed, slightly hyperventilating due to the memories that would never leave her mind, she wanted to get out of there. She wanted her mate. Which she still needed to introduce to her brothers and maybe talk him into letting them join his pack. Barrow wrapped more wire around her chest, making sure to keep her in place, just like he had done to Kira, walking around and glaring at the redhead, but a smirk formed on his lips as he walked to one of the other fences.

He grabbed a thick electrical wire, and an axe he had stolen from the school's basement, cutting the wire from the small fise box, and causing electrical sparks to shoot out from its new opening. The two of them watched as he slowly walked over to them, as if he were silently tainting the two of them,

"What are you doing?" Kira asked, tears running down her cheeks

"Right now?" He asked, coming to a stop, looking at her "ah, right now" kneeling down in front of her "I'm gonna take your picture"

Barrow reached out, grabbing her phone from the pocket of her shirt, humming slightly as he turned it on,

"Just a little proof of our time here together" holding the phone up, snapping a picture with the flash on "a little proof for all those people who never believed"

"Okay, you got your picture" Kira said "you want to let us go now?"

"Oh . ." looking at her, shaking his head as he lowered the phone "did you ever see a movie called Village of the Damned? The original. Not the remake, nobody cares about the crappy remakes. I'm talking about the 1960 black-and-white masterpiece. Huh? It's about this group of children. Blonde-haired, beautiful children. ." reaching out, stroking her cheek with the back of his finger "who can make their eyes glow. And they do terrible, terrible things. The tag line on the poster read, beware the stare that will paralyze the will of the world. Now, when I told everyone that I saw children with glowing eyes . ." standing straight "they wouldn't believe me. And I tried to get them to do something. But they wouldn't budge. They wouldn't move. As if they had been paralyzed. I am going to shake them out of their paralysis. I'm going to get them moving. I'm going to . ." crouching down and picking up the sparking wire, holding it close to Kira "I'm going to galvanize them"

At his words, Nova's eyes looked toward the entrance as best as she could when she heard the familiar sound of Scott's dirt bike, knowing Stiles and even Derek were right behind him. Even though she was still hyperventilating, she looked toward her left wrist, moving it slightly and grasping the collar of her shirt, maneuvering her fingers to bring her pocket closer to her hand.

"Scott, no!" Kira shouted "look out!"

Nova hadn't seen Barrow move, not until Scott was hit with the thick wire, electrocuting him, causing him to groan as he landed on the floor in pain. Electricity crackled as Barrow moved closer to Kira, Nova quickly grasping her lighter, flicking the lid open and sparking the small flame. She looked toward Kira, who had fear in her eyes, a small smirk forming on her red lips, dropping her lighter, causing it to bounce on the floor, Barrow looking at Nova at the sound. The small flame caught the end of her coat, sparking a strong fire, but doing no damage to the fabric, the fire crawling upward, Nova glaring at the man that held them captive. A powerful scream emitted from her lips, a wave of fire shooting toward Barrow, knocking him off of his feet, but the thick wire fell from his hand, landing on Kira.

Electrical currents emitted from the dark haired girl, blowing out the other fuse boxes in the substation. Nova closed her eyes as a shield of fire formed around her, Enjin being the cause of it, protecting her from the currents and the sparks that would be dangerous for her since she still has yet to come into her full power. When she opened her eyes again, she was shocked to see Kira standing on her feet, absorbing the electrical currents and sparks in her hands.
