"I won't lie, I definitely preferred her over ms ma'am here.", Lena tilted her head at Laura who scoffed. "And that's why I preferred Jo over Len.", Laura laughed. I smiled, my new family was amazing, they made me laugh, gave me a home, and told me about my mother. "On the dark side, your mother... she had a hard time... she... she struggled with social interaction. She didn't do the best in school, couldn't pay attention, didn't believe she was good enough. "This boy better be able to make you happy.", Laura said with a serious tone. "Yeah, cause if he doesn't I will royally kick his ass.", Lena put up her arms and pretended she was boxing someone. I grinned, "Man, y'all are the best.". Lena looked surprised, "Y'all? Y'all? Kids turning into a Southern child now, Laur.", Lena turned to Laura. Laura scoffed, "Can you shut up. We need to talk serious.". I looked at Laura, "What?". "Well, your mother was different. Another thing that made Brenner want to recruit your mom even more. She had powers, so did your father. That's why they bonded. Your mom joined late, though. She could talk to anyone, anything. She would be able to make someone do whatever she wanted. Manipulate them do what she wanted. Animal and/or human, she could speak any language, talk to animals, make 'em do what she wanted them to do. Make dogs sniff out her missing dolls, speak to a person that didn't speak her native language and have them do anything, even if they didn't want too. She could control their mind to beat someone up. If she wanted a person dead and didn't want to get her hands dirty, she could talk a stranger and make them kill her enemy. What I'm trying to get at, is the women in the family have powers. I can control fire, Len can teleport, your grandmother could time travel. Unfortunately, your nana couldn't change anything, she couldn't talk to anyone, move anything, just watch the scene unfold. I couldn't make fire, I would have to find a flame and make it bigger and then control it. Len has to know the area first, and can't just see a picture of it. She wouldn't be able to travel to a place she's never been, like she's never even been near France, so she can't just be like, "I wanna be at this show!". She can't just see that show on tv and be there. A bit confusing but I'm trying here. Do you understand?", Laura explained. I nodded my head, "Yea. I think so.". "Great. Now shopping, kid.", Lena grabbed my wrist but I stopped her. "Brenner after me. I escaped. But you don't think he has people in South Carolina, right?", I asked. "No way. Unless once you escape they thought you'd come all the way over here.", Lena dragged me to the car and pushed me in, "Let's go, lets go. Laura, get your ass over here.". Laura scoffed, "Language.".

And I decided to get both of them. I walk out to see my aunts smiling. "Awe, my kiddos growing up so fast.", Lena lays her head on Laura's shoulder. "You just met me!", I laugh. "Exactly. Though you do look beautiful, Y/n.", Laura grins. "Thanks.", I twirl. Could life get any better? My family's amazing, I have a loving boyfriend, and I'm about to get new friends? I mean, I haven't met them yet... but if they're anything like Will, then I'm sure they'll like me.
Laura started walking to the car, me following her, and Lena walking behind us chewing gum. Laura turns back at her, "Catch up.". Len teleports next to Laura and trips her. Laura falls and swore under her breath. She slowly got up, "Gosh, you are such a women-child.". Lena laughs and starts walking. I laugh and close my eyes for a split second before I open them to see Lena laying on the ground with a pool of blood surrounding her. Everything went silent and in slow motion even though I saw Laura screaming for help. Before I know it, I saw her get shot in the chest, ending up on top of her sister. I was shocked, I just froze. I got on my knees and started crying.
"...Y-y-y/n... t-take ca-care o-of yo-yourself... p-please...", Laura put her hand on my cheek. "B-be c-careful. I-I l-love y-you. On-one last thing... yo-your mom...", and with that, her hand fell. I hugged her and cried into her shoulder. I turned to see a person running with a gun. I felt my anger increase and I closed my eyes and opened them to see the gunman in front of me. "Boo.", I screamed. He aimed his gun at me and I made it fly to the side. "You killed my family... now... you pay.", I closed my eyes and felt the man's thoughts pop into my head. "Psycho bitch." "Who's the psycho now." I felt him try to run away but I made him stop. "You will turn yourself into the police, and tell everyone who you work for. You will tell them I am dead and you killed me. Now, go.".
I heard his footsteps running away and to the nearest police station, which was north-west. I smiled, I don't want kill anyone. I'm not a murderer, and I won't become one.
I then realized I had a new power. Lenas.
