CHAPTER 23

"Your highness,did you give up on finding out who you were exchanging letters with?"

"I'm afraid so.Since they haven't revealed themselves so far,I think they must want to keep their identity a secret"

"But you must still be disappointed..."

"I don't want to make them uncomfortable "

He's keeping his promise

He really is a good man

From time to time he looked at me, and I smiled and nodded at him

Suddenly our attention turned towards the door when it opened and someone came in. It was the captain of the royal guard.

Oh no...

He must be here for that...

But to our surprise,he came to me

"Your majesty,you may wish to come to the Grand Banquet Hall for a moment "

Instead of approaching the prick,he approached me and reported the matter to me

He sounded serious. There were only twenty people in the room, so everyone could hear what he said. All the guests' eyes were on him.

I can't believe I am being put into that son of a bitch's shoes

I composed myself and responded to the guard

"Is something the matter?"

"Well..."

The captain seemed reluctant to answer in present company

"Take me there immediately"

I picked up on it and I stood up from my seat.

"Excuse me everyone but I have some matters to attend to.Please,enjoy the banquet"

I excused myself from the table and went outside with the knight

I'm not even supposed to go to that hall yet but this just had to happen

I specifically said to Rashta to not attend but what's more annoying is...

I'm not even surprised

I know I should have put more pressure on her by telling her about that man but it might backfire and she'll be more on edge and be afraid of me.

Specially when she's such an assuming girl

When we got close to the banquet hall,I saw the guards on the doorway being nervous

They better be...

They jolted up when they saw me and bowed to me

I glared at them to remind them their in big trouble

They had one job and they didn't even do anything

I went inside the banquet hall and everyone turned their eyes to me

Everyone immediately made way for me and what I saw irritated me

Rashta had fainted and that secretary was just holding her up

Do they think their jobs here are a joke?

I turned to the captain and eyed him darkly

The guests took a step back and the captain called on the guards to help him

They arrested the old man and the old guy kept acting like he doesn't know anything

"Where shall we bring him,your majesty?"
